"All things are lawful," but not all things are helpful. "All things are lawful," but not all things build up. Let no one seek his own good, but the good of his neighbor. Eat whatever is sold in the meat market without raising any question on the ground of conscience. For "the earth is the Lord's, and the fullness thereof." If one of the unbelievers invites you to dinner and you are disposed to go, eat whatever is set before you without raising any question on the ground of conscience. But if someone says to you, "This has been offered in sacrifice," then do not eat it, for the sake of the one who informed you, and for the sake of conscience" I do not mean your conscience, but his. For why should my liberty be determined by someone else's conscience? If I partake with thankfulness, why am I denounced because of that for which I give thanks? So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. Give no offense to Jews or to Greeks or to the church of God, just as I try to please everyone in everything I do, not seeking my own advantage, but that of many, that they may be saved. - 1Corinthians 10:23-33 (ESV)
Bunni Pounds is a NAR dominionist and failed Republican Congressional candidate from Texas. She took the lemons from that failure however and made the lemonade of becoming a leading heretical voice within the apostate church when it comes to mixing the profane of politics with the holiness of God. The above linked article is the latest from Pounds on Charisma News where she lies and distorts scripture to try and continue selling the NAR false theology about nationalism instead of the gospel. So let us reason once more together beloved:
"The recent election has left us with many lessons that I think we need to think about"particularly for the body of Christ. In this critical moment, I believe God is speaking clearly to us as Christ-followers who are engaged in the culture, highlighting the importance of the work we are doing and the direction we must take as we move forward in both ministry and service to others and our personal commitment to Jesus. We saw many incredible victories around the nation as Bible-believing Christians were elected or reelected to office. People who honor the sanctity of human life, protecting our children and grandchildren from harmful ideologies and policies, and those who seek to promote religious freedom won in many cases. Our organization, Christians Engaged, saw many victories as we mobilized more than 850,000 Christian voters in this election and every election in the future. What we are building together offers a distinct approach to civic engagement, one that combines faith with action. As we reflect on the election, we must continue to be challenged to move forward and see how God can even use us in a greater way. Here are the key things I think this election experience taught us that we, as Christians, need to cling to for the future." - Bunni Pounds
That aint God speaking to you Bunni. If it were, He would tell you to stop butchering His word to defend a convicted rapist. Demanding cultural engagement under the guise of piety is not "ministry" and does not show any personal commitment to Jesus. It shows the only true commitment you have ever shown and that is to the Republican Party. Bible believing Christians? Like whom? You were supporting Mark Robinson in all likelihood until it was revealed that this alleged "Christian" was posting all over a porn site about how he liked slavery and called himself a Nazi. This is the sleight of hand the NAR uses. If someone pays lip service to the bible but their lives do not line up with it, we are told that we are not looking at character, only policy. Right. So, let us get right into her five false messages she is trying to sell the apostate church she is a leader in.
"1. Prayer is powerful; it cannot be an afterthought. First and foremost, God hears our prayers, and He answers them. But prayer cannot be something we do only in emergencies. What if prayer became our lifestyle? What if our churches returned to being true "houses of prayer"?
In Mark 11:15-17, Jesus cleared the temple, declaring that His house should be called a "house of prayer for all nations." We must reflect on this, not just as a call to action for our churches but as a personal challenge for our individual lives. Prayer can transform us and our nation. If we allow God to use us in the place of prayer, the results can be extraordinary. Isaiah 56:6-8 reminds us that God's house is a place for all nations, and those who love Him and serve Him will find joy in His presence. We need to cultivate this atmosphere of prayer in our lives, our homes and our churches, thinking outside of our individual lives, praying for our nation and all nations for God to move. As we prepare for the upcoming election cycle, let us remember that prayer is not just a tool for each election, but also a spiritual practice that nurtures revival ongoing." - Bunni Pounds
The type of person Jesus cleared out of the temple was the exact type of person Pounds insisted Christians should vote for. This is the inherent disconnect people like Pounds from the NAR suffer from. As a former Republican candidate, Bunni has transposed her party for her religion. That is not a faith issue but rather a political one. It blinds her to who she advocates for because at the end of the day she is an idolator selling idolatry. This idol worship also blinds her from seeing that citing Isaiah 56 is contradicted by the hatred she represents politically. So, the church is the place for all nations but the country she envisions is not for all nations? Yeah, that does not sound terribly biblical or consistent. When Pounds is selling prayer, she means for Republican candidates. Let Stephen Miller's will be done, not necessarily God's. The bible is clear that there are false christs and false gospels. This nationalistic, American white Jesus is simply not the Jesus of the bible. Bunni Pounds represents the same attitude that turned Mary away to the manger. In her mind and the collective minds of the NAR, they prayed to their false Jesus and because they got the electoral carnal victory they prayed for - viola! God must have willed their victory because of their prayers! Yeah, no. Praying for a man who lies about our Christian brothers and sisters eating pets does not compel God to make sure he is elected. Like Israel before us, the apostate church demanded a king. God was very clear to them about what this king would do and they said - give us our king! So, God relented and gave them the desires of their wicked hearts. What Bunni Pounds gushes as answered prayers is actually the judgment of God.
