"What every individual at the roundtable understood and agreed upon is the need to refrain from social media posts, slander, speculation, speaking recklessly and stoking the fires of schemes by the "accuser of our brethren," (Rev. 12:10-12, NKJV). God hates "sowing discord among the brethren," (Prov. 6:19). "The first to plead his case seems right, until another comes and examines him," (Prov. 18:17, NASB 1995). So may we all be "quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger," (James 1:19b, CSB). In the midst of all these circulating stories and accusations, let's commit to pray for individuals in question and trust that leaders investigating matters will have wisdom on how to proceed for the good of all and the glory of God." - Charisma News
Ugh. If I had a dollar for every false leader in the apostate church that does not understand the verses about the accuser of the brethren, or the definition of slander, I would be rich. It is not slander to tell the truth about wolves. It is not speaking recklessly to report and comment about what is already in the public domain. The dynamic we need to recognize is all of these rules and pearl clutching is solely designed to protect the perpetrators at the expense of the victims. The wolves over the sheep. To use the verse about sowing discord is absurd. First of all, Romans teaches us that division comes into the church through false doctrine, not those who expose it. That aside, in the small and evil minds of these people, a man who builds a holiness ministry while secretly having phone sex with another man's wife, is the victim and anyone who dares to talk about it, is sowing discord. The man who sexually abused a 13-year-old and a 14-year-old deserves to somehow be restored but those that reported on it are sowing discord. Revolting. We have been very slow to anger on Mike Bickle. He was allowed to abuse so many people over forty plus years. So, save your faux-piety. You trust the leaders to conduct these investigations yet offer up Bickle as proof? Read the Firefly report! At every turn they shamed the victims and buried the story to protect the perpetrators! Do you think Dr. Brown sending out funding emails claiming he is under demonic attack brings any glory to God? What the hell is wrong with you? Beloved, I would hope that most have already marked and avoided people like Cindy Jacobs, Rick Joyner, and Lance Wallnau but it is frightening that this gaggle of carnality are considered leaders in any church today, even the apostate church. Side with the sheep, not the wolves.
