"3. Intensify intercession. As Trump dodged a bullet, crediting God and declaring "Fight! Fight! Fight!" so was America rescued, requiring intensified prayer for our leaders as 1 Timothy 2:1-2 directs! The pastor from Chad said, "What's miraculously occurred here in America was not only due to your prayers and work but prayers offered throughout the world. What happens here affects the world!" We must remain fervent in prayer (especially for protection). Here's Intercessors for America's 2024 report. I've never seen anything like it in my almost 50 years on the board: Over 2 billion website viewings. 80 million website engagements. 100 million emails.
Pastors: Was your church involved in prayer for the election? Were you passing out objective voter guides? If you erred, stating, "Christians should not be involved in politics," will you pledge to change? All of us have been spared what would have been a catastrophic collapse. It's time to be bold and involved as salt, holding back decay." - Charisma News
As discussed, the constant theme of the NAR is to exalt the idol. That is what idolatry requires. Trump cannot just be a politician that we think might benefit us as a country. He has to be made into King Jehu, King Cyrus, Elijah or even most recently Nehemiah. Just consider the disgusting argument being made here. That America was rescued by the creator of the entire universe, by electing the rapist. The voter guides they pass out are anything but objective. Those pastors that chose not to cheapen and pimp out their pulpit for carnal politics did not "err." When they ask if you were praying for the election, they do not mean God's will be done but rather the NAR's will. Things are always presented as a good versus evil and their chosen candidate is somehow the good. If God did not rescue America, then the alternative would have resulted in catastrophic societal collapse. How insultingly stupid. The other side is "decay" but our side is "salt." Ridiculous.
"4. Recover biblical principles for adjudicating accusations. Of all the issues prayerfully and biblically discussed at this year's roundtable, this topic was given the most time. Mike Bickle, leader of this generation's global prayer movement; Dr. Michael Brown, respected apologist, along with others have come under scrutiny because of allegations raised against them questioning their behavior from even decades ago. What about T.D. Jakes and Daystar leaders?
Caution:
Sincere Christian investigative journalists citing Jesus with unregenerate
money changers (Matt. 21:12) and the exposing of sinning elders (1 Tim.
5:19-20): There are biblical procedures to carefully obey first. In the quest
for titillating headlines and a breaking story, there's often a rush to
judgment instead of treading carefully, calling for prayer and patiently
waiting for the investigation to get all the facts before jumping in
prematurely. The Bible tells us, "If a man is caught in any transgression, you
who are spiritual should restore such a one in the spirit of meekness, watching
yourselves, lest you also be tempted," (Gal. 6:1-2, MEV). Paul corrected the
Corinthian church because members were going to worldly judges instead of
properly handling offenders in the context of the church (see 1 Cor. 6:1-8). Jesus
exposed the hypocrisy and self-righteousness of religious leaders who brought a
woman caught in the act of adultery (the man was not brought) then told the
woman that He was not condemning her, telling her to "go and sin no more,"
(John 8:1-11)." - Charisma News
So, we come to the scripture butchering portion of their idolatry. Charisma and
these clowns always rely on people just accepting scriptural references and not
doing the work of a Berean to find out what God is actually saying. Before we
get into this however, really reflect on the wolves they are citing as proof
that we need to address how we adjudicate accusation. Mike Bickle? Are you
serious? The Firefly report is already out. He is guilty as sin. He had two sexual
relationships lasting years, with girls as young as 13 and 14, while married.
From there, he seduced the daughter of a family friend when she was 19 and he was
in his forties! He told her that God showed him that his wife would die so they
could be together! He kept this up for four years, while building "this
generation's global prayer movement." That same movement by the way, has now
been exposed as being based upon a false prophetic history that he made up out
of thin air, along with two other sexual predators in Bob Jones and Paul Cain. Who
cares that Mike Bickle led this demonic faux-prayer movement? The fact that
they are not only apparently siding with Bickle, but still defending the
demonic prayer movement, is utterly disgusting. As if that were not enough -
Dr. Michael Brown? Now granted, his Firely investigation is not yet concluded
but the witnesses in this case are piling up. He WAS a respected apologist. Now,
he is a credibly accused sexual predator. Using his position of spiritual authority,
one girl who was 19 at the time describes textbook sexual grooming activities
that Brown has lied so badly about even his former ministry partners are
releasing audio of conversations where they said they would absolutely "lay you
on you're a** if you did that to my daughter." Then the second woman, he was
developing an inappropriate sexual relationship with that included phone sex
and he was trying to meet up to take it further. These are your paragons of
virtue? This is the hill you want to die on? Does it matter that the behavior
happened many years ago? Does it matter to God? Is there a statute of
limitations on sin? Bickle may have evaded the law of man but he will not evade
God's judgment. Do not even get me started on TD Jakes and Daystar!
So, the claim here is there are biblical procedures when calling out sinful leaders or false teachers. What they want is the control of information. Everything is delay and stall and then eventually try to blow off the investigation. That is what they tried to do with Bickle. Strang was attacking the advocate group as trying to steal Bickle's kingdom and the victims themselves as merely being used by the devil. Because you know, Jesus. Let me ask, was any of the investigative journalists or the discernment ministries wrong about Mike Bickle? Or was Steven Strang wrong? Heck, even Dr. Brown was wrong about Bicklegate. He was dispatched down to IHOP to give a sermon where he berated the sheep to not discuss the matter, with similar unbiblical logic as being show here. Was he right? Nope. Were the discernment ministries, right? You betchya. So, save me your pearl clutching. Let us now deal with some of the bible butchering going on. Galatians 6:1-2, I have made the key verses above. These verses are NOT talking about when leaders sin. They are talking about when a brother or sister sins against you. The restoration is NOT to their job, as would be the case of a pastor, but rather their walk with the Lord. Restoration however, can only occur if the individual was saved to begin with or else there is nothing to restore them to. It is so telling that these heretics would cite Mike Bickle, who was clearly not saved, ever. Think about the sheer biblical insanity one has to believe to say Bickle was saved. So, when he was a 20-something up and coming pastor, with the indwelt holy spirit he engaged not merely in adulterous relationships but ones lasting several years each. Two of which were with girls as young as 13 and 14. Then a four-year relationship when he was married in his forties with a 19-year-old daughter of a family friend. He told most of these victims that God has shown him his actual wife was going to die in order for them to be together. He then lied about having a prophetic word from God and conspired with two other sexual predators to try and make it seem legitimate. He then covered all of this up and proceeded to allow 16 other IHOP staff people engage in their own predatory practices over the decades he taught damnable heresies. THAT is the guy you think was saved? When? The Corinthians verses deal with when believers take other believers into worldly courts, not exposing wolves within the church. Dr. Michael Brown or Mike Bickle is not just like the woman caught in adultery. Her story is very clear. She did not sexually abuse children and lie about God in order to build a demonic prayer movement. What are these people arguing? That we should just say to Robert Morris, go and sin no more? That Bickle should just waltz back into Christian leadership? Absolutely sickening. Where is the concern for the sheep? For the victims? These are the people we consider "leaders" in the church?
"Starting
with the fall, it has been God's intention to restore broken relationship
between Himself and humanity. Two of the most prominent leaders in the New
Testament were products of restoration: Paul, who supported killing Christians;
and Peter, who betrayed Jesus three times. In a brief commentary such as this,
it is not possible to succinctly lay out every aspect of this subject, but we
can recognize that the Bible warns us in Jude 1:16-19 (ISV) and 2 Peter 2:11
(KJV) about those who have a "faultfinding" spirit and those who "bring a
railing accusation." Jesus clearly instructed in Matthew 18:15-16 the procedure
of going to a brother or sister (leaders included) involved in sin and dealing
with it privately; then bringing two or three others to confirm every fact; and
then after repeated attempts with no proper response, working through the
matter in the context of the local church." - Charisma News
Wait,
are they comparing Mike Bickle and TD Jakes to Peter and Paul? Does their depravity
know no end? Paul was not restored by the way - he was transformed. Both
stories are not people who were already saved, then sinned and then Jesus
restored them. Both were unsaved, then saved. Nice try. Peter did not have the indwelt
Holy Spirit at the time he denied, not betrayed, Jesus. Saul was an enemy of
God until he was radically transformed, not restored. As for the Jude verses,
they appear in the section dealing with, wait for it, false teachers! I always
love God's sense of humor when exposing these people. I guess Paul just had
that old faultfinding spirit when he called out Hymenaeus and Philetus? Or
Alexander? Or when he called Peter himself out. Please. By the way, the entire
section that includes the 2Peter verse? Yeah, that is talking about false
teachers as well. So, their scripture references convict themselves. The worst
abuse though is in citing Matthew 18. As I have written many times, Matthew 18
is the first refuge of the fallen church leader who has been caught. Why? Because
it allows them to control the information and they hope prevent it from being
made public. Dr. Brown for example claims that he dealt with the 19-year-old
girl using Matthew 18 way back when, so he thought it was resolved. Now, the
girl rejects this story but even if it had been true, Matthew 18 is NOT for
when a leader abuses their spiritual authority. The bible clearly says that
leaders in the church are held to as higher standard. We saw this abuse of
scripture throughout the Bicklegate report as well. It was standard operating
procedure for IHOP management to bury sexual assault and abuse allegations by
misusing Matthew 18, forcing the victim to stand with their attacker, and
forgive him. Oh, and then they were admonished to not tell anyone including
their parents. Cause you know, Jesus. Just so we do not lose sight of what is
going on. People who fancy themselves "leaders" in the church gathered for a
conference where the main topic was how to treat accusations such as what we
saw with Mike Bickle and Dr. Michael Brown. They then absolutely eviscerated
the bible to pretend that we should have just gone to the abusive predator
leaders and deal with the ravenous wolf privately. If that did not work, take
them to other compromised leaders who would obviously side with the wolf and
then if that did not work, take it to the compromised church. See how well that
worked for IHOP? Dr. Brown's organization sent out a fundraising email claiming
he was being spiritually attacked by Satan, so again, please. If you do not
care to understand the bible, please stop citing it.
"Today
with social media mob rule, ignorant or disobedient Christians and people
carrying offenses from the past, it has become open season to quickly rush to
judgment, ignore due process and simply blast someone accused of something.
Once the feathers are thrown from the tower, they can never be retrieved, and
reputations are ruined. Remember the Duke lacrosse players and Jussie
Smollett cases exposed as lies? Recently elders issued a statement (plus gave a
30-year megachurch pastor over $1.45 million), apologizing for not properly
handling their actions. No one is saying we forget real repentance, minimize
sin, ignore the plight and suffering of victims, remove consequences, fail to
investigate, fail to verify allegations, conceal matters from proper
authorities or fail to minister responsibly and compassionately to victims of
abuse." - Charisma News
Where
was there a rush to judgement on Mike Bickle? The people defending him like Dr.
Brown have been proven to be wrong. The discernment ministries have been proven
to be right. Dr. Brown ruined his own reputation! He admits to the behavior
with the 19-year-old! He is just lamely trying to play it off like he was just
her spiritual father because who hasn't slapped the butt of someone half our
age when we are married because we think of them as our daughter? The Duke
lacrosse story and Jussie Smollett are not matters within the church and have
zero relevance. The story they are referencing about the pastor is James
McDonald. He was and still is ridiculously guilty and in fact, his former
church paid Julie Roys 50K for her legal fees in a botched lawsuit they tried.
No one got anything wrong with the facts of this case. McDonald still appears
to be quite guilty of bullying, manipulative leadership, gambling addictions, and
sexual harassment. He also was caught on tape with a radio shock jock saying he
wanted to plant child pornography on the computer of a critic, after trying to solicit
a hitman. Oh, and he was facing seven years in prison for assaulting a 59-year-old
woman with great bodily harm. This is the example you are lifting up? He won
the settlement through arbitration with his former church. So, McDonald
actually violated the scriptures misapplied above regarding taking our matters
into the courts of the world, but hey, who is counting? Make no mistake about
this beloved. The entire point of this Charisma article is to forego true repentance,
minimize sin, remove consequences, conceal matters from the authorities and not
care one whit about the victims. Let's just look at Bicklegate. Steven Strang
advocated for Bickle's restoration AFTER we knew he had two victims who were
minors. He referred to the victims as being used by Satan. That is not
compassionate ministry to the victims and certainly is minimizing his sin, let
alone caring about genuine repentance. When the scandal first broke and for
months, the IHOP Executive Team tried their best to not cooperate with the
investigation, not wanting to verify the allegations. The Firefly report
revealed that the culture constantly pressured victims to not go to the
authorities, often by abusing scripture. So, once again, these so-called
leaders indict themselves. Mercifully, this hot mess concludes.
