I was vision casting when bowed before the Lord and said, "Father I want to expand the church beyond what mere mortal eyes can see" and God said my vision was still limited.

I was vision casting when bowed before the Lord and said, "Father I want to create a new ministry to explore our relevance to the communities we serve, for Your glory" and God said my vision was not grand enough.

I was vision casting when bowed before the Lord and said, "Father I want to encourage Your sheep to prosperity rivaling all the world has" and God said that His kingdom was not of this earth; you have no vision.

I was vision casting when bowed before the Lord and said "Father I want to hire the most gifted singers, talented musicians, and perform plays and productions all for Your glory" and God said to me - pretty wrapping for such an empty gift, your vision remains myopic.

I was vision casting when bowed before the Lord and said, "Father I want to build a facility to fit in everyone from the highways and byways. Waterfalls in the lobby to match Your splendor. Padding for every pew to match Your comfort and the most soothing aesthetics to match Your beauty" and God said my vision was that of a blind man.

Feeling a failure and confused as to how I kept missing the mark, I asked God to help me see and He said - "I did not ask you to cast a vision. I cast the vision already. I've only asked that you spread it. You hold it in your hands when preach. It sits on your night stand each evening and can be found on your desk every day. There is no grander vision because it is eternal. I did not ask you to build it a house adorned with the opulence and decadence of the Tower of Babel . I did not ask you to design marketing strategies rivaling the carnality of Simon the Sorcerer . I asked you to feed my sheep. Not to give them a worldly sense of purpose. Not try to trick them into the Kingdom. Just to feed them. All of them. Not just the ones that you like. Not just the ones that might agree with you personally. All of them."

"There is no more spectacular vision because I am in it and it is in Me. I am the vision. The Gospel is the vision. It does not need help. It does not need man made logic, secular principles, or carnal wisdom. It only needs to be preached." Now cast your nets and leave the vision to the one who can see everything.
