When I Turn Toward Calvary

I see my Lord, standing before me

I'm white as snow; it's the blood you know

Covering me

His nail scarred hands held out for me

No accusation in his eyes

Press on He says

Press on toward the prize

I forget my Lord, I tarry and I'm afraid

The traps of the world and the schemes of the enemy

But I can overcome the world

When I turn to Calvary

I see my Lord, when I turn toward Calvary

He's holding my sins

He's giving me grace

He is all I can see

When I turn toward Calvary

He's healing my soul

He's granting me peace

My Lord is all to me...

He's showing me mercy

He's taking my pain

He's yielding His love

It's all for His name

He's the king of all kings

The light of the world

Fill in two lines

He's saving my soul

He's setting me free

Sweet salvation

The hope of glory

He's wonderful

Counselor

The rock of salvation

He's beautiful

Cornerstone

Our true and firm foundation

He's my Prince of Peace

Abraham's seed

How can I ever forget...

When I turn... toward Calvary

You need to turn, turn toward Calvary

Your savior is waiting

The sun comes up, on the dawn of my life

Looking back on my troubles, my grief and strife

The world will tell you that your God is not real

He's left you alone, for all to see

That's when I turn... turn toward Calvary

The silent hill at the start of time

Holds the Prince of Peace, for all mankind

He took the nails, he took the scars

His innocent blood dripping from the tree

He bore the sins for you and me

He turned my hate into love

So I will turn to Calvary
