NAR Mark Driscoll Continues his MAGA Rebranding with False 2025 Prophecies
By Anthony Wade
Nothing like starting the new year off with some absurd false prophetic statements...
::::::::
Prophecy continues to be one of the most abused concepts in the apostate church today. What passes for prophecy today is nothing more than clairvoyance and clickbait cobbled together to try and apply a patina of piety to otherwise obvious charlatans. Lip service is paid to Jesus but these targeted guesses never bring any true glory to God as they are designed to bring glory to the false prophet to increase their stature within the Charismaniacal Industrial Complex. For example, we saw this week Charisma News promote a 2023 false prophecy from the disgraced false prophet Chris Reed regarding the death of former president Jimmy Carter. Yes, the 100-year-old Jimmy Carter. Wow. Real groundbreaking prophecy there Chris. The above link is to the latest promotion from disgraced fugitive from church discipline and false teacher Mark Driscoll. These are ten "prophetic predictions" for 2025. This is what I mean by clairvoyance. Prophecy is not fortune telling. Do not lose sight of the fact as we read this, that Driscoll is essentially saying God showed him or told him this. That the creator of the entire universe had these ten things He wanted the church to know and for some reason is choosing a man who stole $200,000 from the tithes of his former church to cheat the NY Times Best Seller list, to deliver this message. This premise is entirely absurd on its face, as is the general message Driscoll is delivering.
I also want us to realize that this is the continuing rebranding Mark Driscoll has been undertaking since packing his family up and leaving in the dead of night from the impending church discipline at Mars Hill Church is Seattle. At Mars Hill, Driscoll was the primary bad boy of Pentecostalism. He loved to wear Mickey Mouse tee shirts while preaching to show his brash unconventionality as he preached unabashedly about sexual topics. Those who opposed him were openly vilified and he bragged once about using the Mars Hill bus to run over those who would disagree with his vision, even the very sheep that were entrusted to him. He referred to them as a pile of dead bodies under the Mars Hill Bus he was driving. He treated so many people badly and unchristlike that his own handpicked board was set to discipline him and the Acts 29 group he founded had already thrown him out. When he reemerged after having his church image rehabilitated by the likes of Robert Morris, he began to transform his preacher-image into the America-first Trumper that he saw was selling so well in the Charismaniacal church. Make no mistake beloved. This is a grift, pure and simple. He recently wrote a ridiculous book claiming to know how Jesus would vote, got into a spitting match with local officials, violating Romans 13, and then sold Vote for Jesus lawn signs to his sheep. So, unsurprisingly, these ten bogus prophecy predictions are all centered around the same garbage cultural arguments the NAR church loves luring the sheep into. They turn the lost into the enemies of the church instead of preaching the gospel to them because hate will always sell better than repentance. So let us reason once again beloved and happy new year.
'How should the church prepare for 2025? In a recent message, Pastor Mark Driscoll gave his 10 prophetic predictions about what he believes the church will encounter in 2025. "I believe that we have an opportunity as God's people to pay attention to what is happening in the culture so that we can be best prepared for what God intends for His people, the church, in 2025," says Driscoll."
1. Men are re-emerging as leaders for the future. - Driscoll points out that this year's election was determined greatly by the number of men who showed up to voice their opinion about the kind of society they want to live in. Typically, it is the suburban women who make the difference in the election, but this year, Driscoll says, it was the male voter who stepped up to the plate.
"This is a historic opportunity, and we need to hear what the Spirit of God is saying to the churches," Driscoll says. "And one thing that the Holy Spirit is saying is, 'It's time to make men a priority. It's time for the church to value men again.' And that what we have seen historically is that evangelicalism has become increasingly soft, weak, woke, compromised, and it is time for strong men to enter into the pulpit and enter into the ministry and lead with a sense of actual testosterone-driven, Elijah-like, Paul-like, Jeremiah-like prophetic courage.' - Charisma News
Driscoll has always been a testosterone driven false teacher. He infamously said in 2006 that Ted Haggard's wife was to blame for the 20-year homosexual affair Haggard had while doing crystal meth because she "let herself go." That is just one example of many, so it is not new to see him try and push pro-man talking points but this one is easily debunked. The split in the 2024 election was 53% women and 47% men. In 2020 it was 52% women and 48% men, so there was not some massive shift demographically. What Driscoll does, as most ideologues, is present his narrative and try to shoehorn statistics into it but even the stats do not back him up here. The church does not have an issue valuing men. This entire talking point is moronic. The NAR is made up primarily of "strong male leaders' in the pulpit. Those are also the same ones that typically then fall as being abusive or pedophiles. See Mike Bickle, Ravi Zacharias, Robert Morris, or recently, Dr. Michael Brown. Preaching some hyper-Calvinistic, machismo holiness has proven over time to be a smoke screen for the lifestyles that do not align with the gospel. Instead of focusing on man, we should be focused on God. Elijah was testosterone driven? He begged for God to kill him rather than face Queen Jezebel! Wasn't Jeremiah known as the weeping prophet? Paul said of these I am the least, not the toughest or most testosterone driven. The Holy Spirit is saying no such thing. Everyone is a priority to God.
'2. Young men are not interested in progressive ideology and are becoming increasingly interested in a traditional family lifestyle. - Driscoll points out that as young men are increasingly becoming more conservative and young women are becoming more liberal, we are seeing a fracturing in society. "So, what does this provide for the church? Well, hear what the Spirit of God is saying to the church; an entire generation of young men is saying, 'I want to be a man who marries a woman and works a job and has a family"' the only hope is the church of Jesus Christ. This entire beginning and stirring of a young generation of men who are aspiring to conservative values like faith and family and freedom and fatherhood, the church of Jesus Christ is the only hope," says Driscoll. "If you are a leader in a church or the pastor of a church"you need to refocus all of your energy and attention toward reaching young men, toward activating young men, toward discipling young men."' - Charisma News
Another transparent attempt to push your political agenda by claiming God agrees. Donald Trump, who Driscoll idolizes, did not even win the majority of the votes, coming in under 50%. The trends in culture today are away from starting traditional families, especially among the younger generations. Look, there is nothing wrong with targeting young men for discipling but to pretend that God is saying pastors need to refocus ALL of their energies on reaching and activating, whatever that buzzword means, is patently ridiculous. Pastors need to preach the gospel, period full stop. God will draw people to Him, not Mark Driscoll. Then they will be "activated" by the indwelt Holy Spirit and not some purpose driven drivel.
'3. Confidence in mainstream media continues to trend downward. - Driscoll points out that statistically, people continue to lose trust in traditional media, especially as its bias against Trump and toward Harris was so blatant this year. There is also a rise of alternative media that continues to grow. So, how is the church to respond to this change in media consumption?
"What does this provide for the church of Jesus Christ? It provides an opportunity to tell the truth. It provides an opportunity to function not in a political way, but in a prophetic way. Not where you're trying to gain an audience, but where you're trying to glorify God"what we are seeing is people are looking for the truth. People are desperate for the truth. People are hungry for the truth. People are sick of being lied to. They're sick of sound bites and manipulation. What they want is truth, unvarnished-- ' - Charisma News
Ad absurdum. It is always hysterical to listen to people wax prophetically about things they do not understand. The reason for the declining confidence in mainstream media is twofold. The first is the emergence of alternative media sources, such as podcasts, which do not have any controls or ethics. So, they are free to create news rather than report news. The more prolific reason however is the concerted effort since Trump came down the escalator in 2016 to undermine confidence in it because he did not like the truth being told about him. Despite Mark Driscoll's stupidity, the facts remain against him. When Donald Trump, or anyone, breaks the law, they get prosecuted. When the former president of the United States is being prosecuted than that is what is called news and the job of the media is to cover it. People are not desperate for the truth Mark. They are desperate for confirmation bias and people like you are more than willing to provide it to them. God however is interested in the actual truth not your alternative facts. Your political idol lied over 30,000 times in his first term so save me the pearl clutching over your bald-faced lie of being lied to. Either way, how is this "prophetic?" Oh, that's right - it's not, which makes this a lie. How ironic.
'4. The reality of the demonic is coming to light in the mainstream culture. - Driscoll points to Tucker Carlson's experience of being attacked by a demon and how his story has permeated throughout the nation, showing the reality of dark and evil forces. "Ultimately, the demonic is mainstream. Demons are no longer just hiding; they're parading," says Driscoll. "There really is an unseen supernatural realm, there really is a God and a Satan, there really are angels and demons, there really is spiritual warfare."' - Charisma News
Let me see if I have this right mark. You just finished regaling us with stories about how people are sick of being lied to and the very next bullet point is to promote quite possibly to stupidest lie from 2024 and that lie was actually told by someone who has always been a part of the mainstream media you just railed against? Do you even edit your work, Mark? It does not even give Mark pause that Tucker, a vile excuse for a human being who has been cozying up to Russia lately, claimed that this demon left scars on his side but refused to then show these scars? Was this attack by Katie Souza's rogue werewolf? This story did not "permeate the nation." People with a sliver of intelligence or discernment cracked up, laughed out loud, and moved on. Yes, there really is spiritual warfare but not because some whack-job pseudo-journalist claims a demon mauled him. I would say that Driscoll is dumb for believing such but I do not think he actually believes this. He is just using it to support his NAR narrative. By the way, the truly demonic, parading itself through this country, is found in the pulpits of the NAR churches with pastors like Mark Driscoll. That someone like Robert Morris can build a 100-million-dollar personal wealth on the bones of a 12-year-old he molested for four years is demonic. What Mike Bickle did to at least three women, two of which were 12 and 13 years old, is demonic. The teachings of Bill Johson, Kris Vallotton and Bethel Church is demonic. Demons are not sneaking into bedrooms to maul people. They stand in the pulpits and lie to people that they are saved when they are not. That is truly demonic.
'5. There has been an explosion of Bible purchases made by non-Christians. - Driscoll notes that those who may not necessarily go to church or who do not know Jesus are seeking God in droves as they read the Bible for the very first time. "Isn't it curious that the Word of God is really, truly, living and active? Isn't it amazing that all Scripture really is God-breathed and profitable? Isn't it incredible that every Word of God is flawless and proved true? Isn't it amazing that though we have so much technology what people want to do is find a copy of the Bible and open it and read it for themselves? Well, what is the Spirit of God saying to the church? You need to be in God's Word."' - Charisma News
There are two sides here worth addressing. The first is that while bible sales are indeed up in this country, it is primarily because of the great anxiety that exists in our country and the world today. The constant demonization of disagreement, the blurring of the lines with despotic dictators and evil regimes leaves people unsure in this day and age. It is a good thing that they potentially are seeking God in this but the fear is that they will not find Him because they will look to the NAR churches that teach white-ethnonational dominionism instead of the gospel of Jesus Christ. The second side of this is that it is a little rich for someone as biblically illiterate as Mark Driscoll claim God is saying we must be in His word. Now obviously, we need to be in His word but let me just suggest that perhaps God is speaking to Driscoll first. Mark then speaks about two of the hot button cultural issues the NAR dominionist church likes to focus on - blind support for Israel and trans rights, which affects all of one percent of the population. He does so with the usual Republican Party inaccurate bluster. He claims on trans rights that a "generation has been mutilated." This is solely designed to sensationalize what amounts to a tiny fraction of less than one percent. In a four-year period, there were 48,000 surgeries, across all age groups, in a population of 350 million. The percentage is so small, AI Google just says "very small." What is more interesting however is the eighth prophetic prediction about the primary political wedge issue, abortion:
8. The number of abortions in the U.S. have increased since the end of Roe v. Wade. - As abortion was one of the center topics during the election season, Driscoll compares the act with the sacrificing of children as commanded by the demon, Molech. "What is the Spirit of God saying to the churches? That we have to be pro-life from womb to tomb," Driscoll says. "That we have to help those women who have made a tragic choice and now regret it to know the love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ and to know healing for themselves and hope for the eternal salvation of their child, whom God can call and save from the womb-- ' - Charisma News
There is so much here to unpack but let us start with the biblically asinine comparison of abortion to the sacrifice of children to Molech. These two things have absolutely nothing to do with each other. Sacrificing to Molech was to appease the false deity and were more a violation of the first commandment, in having no other gods. Women do not choose to have abortions today because they are worshipping a false Canaanite god. Driscoll does not care about that as he is a political demagogue cosplaying as a pastor and Christian. What is very interesting here is Driscoll correctly mentions that abortions have actually increased since Roe was overturned but then offers no insight as to why? It speaks volumes that the church has demanded the election of morally spurious candidates for the past few decades desperately chasing the overturn of Roe only to discover that it failed miserably to actually lower the number of abortions. This is what happens when you make a Faustian bargain with the devil. It is time for Christians to stop being myopic in their voting. It is also worth noting that Driscoll claims God is saying the church has to be pro life from the womb to the tomb but he passionately demands Christians vote for candidates who are obviously not. This hypocrisy is not lost on the world who sees so much emphasis on abortion but at the same time no support for poor mothers, childcare, healthcare, or any number of societal issues that should also be considered, "pro-life." Again, Driscoll is not saying these things from a church perspective but rather from a political one. Does anyone seriously think that God is prophetically saying through Mark Driscoll that NOW the church has to care about life from the womb to the tomb or that we need to counsel women who have had to make that decision to abort a child? Now? Shouldn't the church have always been about all facets of life?
9. God is cleaning house in the body of Christ. - Looking at the declining numbers of pastors who hold a biblical worldview, Driscoll says God is cleaning house in the church for only the true believers in Christ Jesus to remain. "God's people need to be given a biblical worldview. And it's not just accept Jesus and you'll go to heaven when you die; it's how to grow in your relationship with God every step of the journey."
Yeah, no. The term "biblical worldview" is pure NAR dominionist propaganda. Do you want to know God's biblical worldview? Preach the gospel. When Jesus walked the earth, His own people were being oppressed horribly by Rome. Do you know what Jesus did about it? Absolutely nothing because His kingdom is not of this world. He came to deliver the world from sin and the oppression of the devil. Not the oppression of Rome. Not the oppression of the Democratic Party in America. He does not care if football coaches get to pray with their players after games. He does not care if schools do not allow forced prayer at the start of the day. He does not care if there are monuments to the Ten Commandments outside of courthouses. He does however, care if the vehicle He has chosen to deliver the gospel to the lost, the church, is too busy hating the very people that need the gospel the most. By the way, the number of NAR pastors is not declining. I wish it were. Idolatry in the form of nationalism is most certainly on the rise with the absolute worship of Donald Trump. False teachers like Jack Hibbs, Mario Murillo and Greg Locke all wrote a month before the election that if Christians did not vote for their idol, they would be going to hell. Hibbs even said those that chose to not vote at all were hell bound. Even Dr. Michael Brown, before we discovered that he built his holiness teaching empire while he was having phone sex with another man's wife and swatting a 19 year old student on the butt, said there was no way as a Christian he could vote for any Democratic candidate. The gospel is not "accepting Jesus, whatever that Osteenish caricature is supposed to mean, but it is disturbing that Driscoll is teaching that somehow eternal life is not enough. That instead, growing our relationship with God now must incorporate voting patterns and being involved in cultural issues that actually have no eternal value. That is pure NAR theology.
Driscoll finishes with some inane point about the church allowing themselves to be counseled by their own children. He based this on the silly notion that because a billionaire politician allowed his son to advise him what podcasts to go on, that somehow, we all need to be advised by our kids. It only served as another setup though to push his NAR dominionist views. That the church has to enter 2025 concerned not about the things of God and the gospel but rather on the culture wars of the Republican Party. At the end of the day, that is all Mark Driscoll cares about. Don't forget, he is claiming these are prophetic predictions. That God has said this to him to then say to the church. It is amazing how "god" always seems to be 100 percent in agreement with his politics. That is the primary feature of a cult belief system and the textbook definition of idolatry. Mrk Driscoll worships a different god. I would say mark and avoid but we all should have been marking and avoiding him already from his days as the Dr. Ruth Westheimer of Pentecostalism and then as the bully driving the Mars Hill bus, stealing the tithe monies from his own church. This new rebranded Mark Driscoll is just as false as the prior iteration. Pick your heresy but stay far, far away.
