Dr. Michael Brown - Excusing the 2020 False Prophets, Protecting the Brand
By Anthony Wade
Dr. Brown is now subtly excusing the false Trump prophets by pretending they just shouldn't have "set a date."
::::::::
But the prophet who presumes to speak a word in my name that I have not commanded him to speak, or who speaks in the name of other gods, that same prophet shall die.' And if you say in your heart, 'How may we know the word that the Lord has not spoken?'" when a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, if the word does not come to pass or come true, that is a word that the Lord has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously. You need not be afraid of him. - Deuteronomy 18:20-22 (ESV)
Dr. Michael Brown just cannot help himself. As the primary gatekeeper of every false teacher in the NAR and Charismania, you knew it was only a matter of time before Brown weighed in on the recent surge in the false prophet brigade pretending that their false prophecies from 2020 are now actually fulfilled, regarding the election of Donald Trump. Remember, Brown must protect the brand at all costs, while sounding reasonable. His job here is to throw as much doubt and "possibility" against the wall as he can and to pretend that he was being critical, while still lending credibility to these charlatans. Oh, and of course, to name no one. The cesspool known as Charisma News has been busy busy busy since the election doing their victory lap, pretending God answered prayers by ensuring the election for the convicted rapist and allowing a platform for these exposed hucksters to pretend that maybe they just misheard God in 2020. You know, because God whispers sometimes or is somehow unclear. So, Brown's boss, uber-dominionist and faux-Christian leader, Steven Strang, commissioned Brown to write an article to start the rehabilitation process for these fraudsters. That article is linked above, so let us reason once more together beloved.
"It was all the rage back in 2020. A chorus of prophetic leaders announced with certainty that Donald Trump would be reelected and serve a second term in the White House, but he did not"at least, not in 2020. Now that he has been reelected, resoundingly at that, does this mean that these prophets were right after all? Certainly not. First, some of the "prophets" (I will let God decide their actual status and calling) said that Trump would serve eight consecutive years. They were dogmatic and clear and aggressive, even after the 2020 election results were announced. "Watch and see" they proclaimed, but nothing happened. Second, after Biden's victory was announced, the prophets predicting his reelection doubled down. Many said that he did win the election, but it was stolen. But that begs the question: If Trump would win but actually lose, why didn't God show them this too? This would be like me giving you a prophetic word that a rich man would be giving you a Porsche next week, free of charge. I just failed to tell you it would be carjacked on the way to your house, and you would never see it." - Dr. Michael Brown
Welcome to the "reasonable" portion of the article. Designed to be able to say that he did not give a full endorsement of these wolves by opening with the fact that they were clearly wrong. He even partly disparages them by almost mocking the fact that they call themselves prophets but what is insidious here is the notion that he is letting God decide their actual status of being a prophet or not. So, what's the problem? God has already decided their status! Read your bible Dr. Brown! If someone claims to be a prophet but speaks a word that does not come to pass, they shall die, and we need not be afraid of them. Read the key verses. Now, we no longer stone such people to death thankfully because we leave room for God's wrath but there has been no change in the policy God laid forth for people claiming to speak for the creator of the entire universe. How do we gauge or judge? Did the word come to pass. So, God has already decided and let us know that these snake oil salesmen are false and are not prophets. Remember though that Brown's marching orders from Strang were to prop them up while more unreasonable sounding liars will then stake out more absurd positions. Strang did this in the run up to the election too. He had Brown come out early and declare that there was no way a Christian should vote for a Democrat. He sounded all pious and nice-nice, as is his schtick. Then Strang came on top of that with lunatics like Jack Hibbs, Mario Murillo and Greg Locke to declare that anyone who did vote Democratic or was not going to vote was going to hell. This bad cop-insane cop routine is common for Strang and Charisma. Note here that Brown is already downplaying what he knows was scurrilous false prophecies by saying that they only said Trump would serve a second term and then the "at least not in 2020" caveat. No Dr. Brown. This gaggle of despicable false prophets did not prophesy he would serve a second term. They prophesied that he was going to win the 2020 election, and he didn't. In fact, he got crushed by seven million votes. It reminds me of when false prophet David Taylor claimed God told him the Denver Broncos were going to win the Super Bowl and then they lost 44-8. Brown's assertions here about how they were wrong, however, is correct. They were unbelievably wrong. They were not even close. It is wrapped up however in this uncertainty that Brown is trying to sell. He continues:
"Others doubled down by saying, "In the coming weeks, the results will be overturned and Trump will be declared winner," with some prophesying specific timetables in which this would take place. None of this happened"not in a single instance or court case"despite their guarantees. Others claimed there would be a coup and Biden would be removed from office. It would happen right after the inauguration. Or in March. Or April. Or August. Still others claimed Biden was not inaugurated, that there was an actor (or shapeshifter) taking his place and that Trump was the true president in God's sight. Seriously! Still others moved into other realms of spiritual fantasy, as characterized by this "vision" allegedly received in April 2021: "As I was praying today I saw a vision of DJT seated on a throne holding a golden scepter. He also had a golden crown on his head. This, I was shown, is his PRESENT status from heaven's perspective. That becomes all I need to know, as to should I back off saying 'the steal will not hold'. Heaven does not recognize JB having any scepter nor wearing any crown. From heaven's perspective, there is only the legitimacy of DJT. God has assigned a massive contingency of angels to that scepter and to that crown. They have not ceased assignment and anointed seers can see this. To repeat, the prophetic word has been true all the way from Nov 3. On that date, DJT won the election "as spoken by His servants the prophets". IT WAS FULFILLED. The only thing presently yet to be made visible is will an outrageous steal hold for a whole term. It will not! The answer from God to the question of when is"SOON. Do I have a date on that SOON? No, I don't." Enough said." - Dr. Michael Brown
No, Dr. Brown. It is not enough said and that is always the problem. The glaring omission here is who exactly said this ridiculous lie that he had a vision of Trump holding a scepter and wearing a crown? Thankfully, Mr. Google remembers, and the man is named Johnny Enlow, who apparently is a NAR dominionist extraordinaire. His bio states that he is the author of various books including, The Seven Mountain Prophecy and The Seven Mountain Mantle. So, if Brown wants to call out such a ridiculous false prophecy, why is he not willing to warn the sheep who exactly this wolf was? Because Dr. Brown only wants to be able to pretend that he is calling out error in "his own camp," as he is fond of saying. This was just like after writing an entire book about the errors of greasy grace and Dr. Brown called Jospeh Prince, the Jedi Knight of greasy grace, a "good brother in the Lord." Keep your book Doc. It is useless if you refuse to apply it to protect the sheep instead of the wolves. He does not apparently have a shred of humility in that the very people he defends on a regular basis claimed that a shapeshifter was actually inaugurated president in 2020. Think about that for a second. Sure, he says the insanity here but refuses to say who exactly said it. One of Brown's students, Daniel Kolenda did a video the day after the 2024 election wondering if the "critics" from 2020 would apologize now that the false prophets have been vindicated. Crickets from Dr. Brown. Instead, he provides cover for the Johnny Enlows of the world and let us not gloss over what this rabid wolf claimed in 2020. Remember he is claiming God gave him this vision. He is speaking on behalf of the Great I Am, claiming God said that angels have been dispatched, that Trump actually won when he did not, and that the convicted rapist was given a crown, and a scepter by almighty God. That is offensive on so many levels and blasphemous. Simply regurgitating this insanity is useless if you are not willing to call out the insane.
"You might say, "But what if God did show these prophets that Trump would be reelected, but they just misinterpreted what they saw?" That's a valid question, and it's in keeping with biblical prophecy, in which the prophets did not always understand the timing of the revelations they received. As Peter wrote, Concerning this salvation, the prophets, who spoke of the grace that was to come to you, searched intently and with the greatest care, trying to find out the time and circumstances to which the Spirit of Christ in them was pointing when he predicted the sufferings of the Messiah and the glories that would follow. It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves but you, when they spoke of the things that have now been told you by those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. Even angels long to look into these things (1 Pet. 1:10-13, NIV). That's why we have no business setting dates and putting time frames on prophetic words we claim to receive unless God Himself gives us those dates." - Dr. Michael Brown
No doc, it is not a valid question. It is an absurd question. Was God vague? Was He being coy? Was He whispering? Did God intend to interject this much confusion when the bible says He is not the author of confusion? Maybe, and I mean maybe, if it were one man we could say maybe he needed a hearing aid but all of them? Every single false prophet that writes for Charisma got it that wrong by accident? They all misinterpreted God? The staggering disconnect that Dr. Brown never acknowledges is first of all the unseemliness of comparing the prophecies regarding the coming Messiah and the false prophecies regarding a carnal rapist being reelected. Secondly, the entire point is the false prophet brigade did set a time. They clearly, all predicted that Donald trump would win the 2020 election. They were not speculating that maybe this was a nebulous time frame. None of them ever imagined that he would win in 2024 because they were all in on 2020. In fact, if someone clearly predicted that Trump would get crushed din 2020 but be reelected in 2024, THAT would have been amazing. Thirdly, Dr. Brown openly admits they were wrong, and that they should never have set dates but allows enough subterfuge and doubt to preserve them somehow as legitimate prophets! He does not care that countless numbers of charismatic so-called prophets openly lied about hearing from God! He tries to deflect it all away by pretending to chastise them for "setting dates." That was not the issue doc. The issue was that they lied about what God said and then tripled down with shapeshifting nonsense and imaginary scepters and crowns. All laid at the feet of God, essentially making Him out to be a liar. While Dr. Brown excuses it.
"Given that the whole story of Trump's reelection is almost impossible to believe"whether you're for him or against, it seems almost miraculous"I have no problem believing that God showed people in 2020 that he would serve two terms. If He did, the failure was in speaking prematurely and giving false hopes and expectations, rather than praying secretly for God's will to come to pass based on prophecies received. It would also have been fine if they had said, "God showed me Trump will serve two terms, but I have no idea if they'll be consecutive or not." Today, we'd be shaking our heads and marveling. Let us, then, tread carefully when it comes to speaking for God." - Dr. Michael Brown
It wasn't a miracle. The insinuation that it might be is again to blaspheme God. The allusion to it possibly being a miracle indicates the possibility that God Himself orchestrated the election of Donald Trump, as opposed to simply allowing it. Now we are out of the phase pretending to be critical and into the main thrust of this article which is to defend and deflect and lend credibility back to these lying false prophets. Dr. Brown has no problem believing God showed people that Trump would serve two terms? Except none of them said that God said that. ALL of them said God showed them Trump was going to win the 2020 election. The failure is that these people are abject liars, Dr. Brown, not that they merely spoke prematurely. They never received any prophecies, and you know it. You just spent the first half of the article pretending to mock them for it and now you want to excuse it? The reason why none of them said God showed me Trump would serve two terms is because all of them were too busy lying about 2020. It is not that they misinterpreted, misheard, or failed to understand. They were lying, just like Dr. Brown is doing here to grant them cover.
This is not some esoteric, gnostic unknown. Prophecy is claiming God said something. God has made it very clear that the way to evaluate false from true is if the prophecy comes to pass. Because of that, most false prophets today are vague or give themselves huge windows of time, like when Benny Hinn prophesied in 1990 that Fidel Castro would die in the 1990s. He would die in 2018 because God will not be mocked. Even the aforementioned David Taylor took a 50-50 chance and picked the team that was favored to win and had the best quarterback at the time in Peyton Manning. He still lost as bad as Trump in 2020 because God will not be mocked. Despite the false prophets being vague and giving themselves a huge time window, they all abandoned these protections in 2020. They were sure that Trump was going to win, probably because they only got their news from right wing sources. So, they went all in. They did not hedge their bets because no one carnal could have foreseen that if Trump lost, that he would run in 2024. So, the only conclusion one can reach is they lied, either to themselves or willfully to everyone else, or both. Many from this group have been taught that any random thought that pops into their wickedly deceitful heart must be "from God." Thus, modern prophecy is nothing more than clairvoyance with a patina of Christianese slapped on for appearance sake. The problem for people like Steven Strang and Dr. Michael Brown is these are the same false prophets that make up that wing of the Charismaniacal Industrial Complex. These are the people with millions of followers and generate millions of dollars. They sell out stadiums and arenas for their fake Christian events and conferences. They are the ones the NAR uses to lie to the church that God is speaking when they want to advance their carnal political goals. When they want the sheep to believe that Donald Trump is really King Jehu and that Kamala Harris is secretly Jezebel, they need the false prophet brigade to claim God said it, instead of the email they got from Steven Strang. There was little they could do immediately following 2020 other than pretend it was stolen but now that Trump has been reelected? Now, they can go back and reclaim the narrative that they were all possibly right after all. They just had an oopsie. They should have secretly prayed about the timing. They must have not interpreted God correctly, as if He was speaking Swahili to them at the time. It is wrong. It is absurd. It is evil.
These charlatans were wrong in 2020, and God exposed them. They all demanded a king in 2024, so God gave them the desires of their evil hearts. Just like Israel before them, they rejected God for these desires and God relented. Now, they are running around doing a victory dance while their idol has started building a monument to himself like King Saul before him. They did not mistake 2020 for 2024. They instead have mistaken blessing for judgment.
