Deceived by the NAR & Faux-Christian Politics, Woman Sentenced to Nine Years in Prison

By Anthony Wade

There are always victims of false teaching. Today's example is Tina Peters

"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?' And then will I declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.' - Matthew 7:21-23 (ESV)

"I am a child of God": Pro-Trump clerk Peters sentenced for voting machine tampering (msn.com)

We often speak about the NAR, false teaching, and dominionism and they seem like almost abstract concepts or an intellectual-theological discussion. I always say however that there are real victims of false teaching - every time. People who have been deceived and often times never come back to God or church. People who remain deceived and suffer other consequences. People who end up like the people in the key verse standing before Christ only to discover He never knew them. Think about how horrific that revelation will be. Lord Lord did we not cast out demons in Your name as Isaiah Saldivar taught us to do? Lord Lord did we not speak things into existence in Your name as Joel Osteen taught us to do. Lord Lord, did we not hate our neighbors and spit on the immigrant in Your name like the NAR told us to do? Did we not break the laws of our country because we believed Donald Trump was your chosen instrument and the second coming of King Jehu or King Cyrus, as everyone on Charisma News told us? That last one came home today as Tina Peters was sentenced to nine years in prison for believing the lies sold to her by the NAR and greedy politicians who used her to break laws, they knew well enough to not break themselves. Let us reason through the reporting linked above.

"Tina Peters was sentenced to nine years in prison on Thursday. The former county clerk from Colorado believed that the 2020 election had been stolen from Donald Trump. In 2022, she allowed a man associated with MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell to access the Mesa County elections systems. For that breach, she was found guilty on three counts of attempting to influence a public servant, one count of conspiracy to commit criminal impersonation and one count of violation of duty, among other charges." - MSN

I do not want to hear about what she believed. That is irrelevant. We have laws in this country and according to Romans 13, we are to obey those laws, not sneak in lunatics to access systems they have no business accessing. We have laws and structures in this country for a reason. Mr. Trump filed 63 lawsuits and lost every one of them, many adjudicated by judges he appointed. Mike Lindell is the one that should be in jail but people like him and the powerful, use people like Tina Peters. They lie to them in order to make them feel like they are doing some kind of grand service. So do the faux Christian leaders that clearly have been feeding Christianized versions of the same lies to Ms. Peters:

'"I was just trying to do my job," Peters told District Judge Matthew Barrett during her sentencing hearing, adding that she was "appalled" by characterizations of her around the trial. "I've often said God doesn't like people messing with his kids. And I believe I'm a child of God," Peters said. "It was important for someone to stand up and I've chosen to do that."' - MSN

This is so sad beloved. I do not know Tina Peters but she has clearly been lied to and deceived by NAR teaching. She is not a child of God - she is a criminal. What God does not like is when we violate His word and His word says to obey local authorities. No where does the bible say God does not like people messing with His kids. Read up how the disciples lost their lives. Peter was crucified upside down. Realize also that a court sentencing you because you broke the laws you swore to uphold is not someone "messing" with you. The people who messed with Tina Peters are the people who lied to her. Who filled her with nonsensical conspiracy theories. It is people like Mike Lindell and whoever was preaching this garbage to her. Peters was not trying to do her job. She was violating it, period. So, now she stood up and because of that, she will sit down for the next nine years, behind bars. She is 69 years old. She will be 78 if she serves the entire term. These nine years have been stolen from her by preachers, politicians, and faux-Christian news sites like Charisma News. Perhaps the greatest crime is that there is a good chance that she is not even saved. Those standing before Christ saying Lord Lord, are clearly not saved. They are churched and Peters certainly seems churched. Like I said, there are always victims of false teaching. I pray someone reaches her with the gospel during the next nine years.

"Peters went on to request that she not be sentenced to prison time, as lingering injuries require her to sleep on a "magnetic mattress." Judge Barrett was not swayed, ultimately sentencing her to eight-and-a-half years plus time served. Before sharing her sentence, the judge noted that Peters very clearly still believes she was correct in letting pro-Trump allies access the voting machines in her care. "You're as defiant as a defendant that this court has ever seen," he said. Earlier in the hearing, Judge Barrett angrily refused to follow along with Peters' conspiratorial beliefs. "Whatever [the machine] tabulates, is whatever it tabulates," he said, pushing back on the idea that he agreed with the idea that the 2020 election was stolen from Donald Trump. "It's insulting to me for to put that into a record that I believe something to be true."' - MSN

How sad. She has been so deceived and remains so deluded. This pattern of sticking your thumb in the eye of authority, such as the judge for her trail, is pure NAR. It is just like when churches broke local ordinances to start meeting again even though there was a raging worldwide pandemic. It is just like when Charisma News ran articles this year claiming there was rebellion that was somehow holy. Beloved, there are people like Tina Peters who are victims to every false teaching. They do not all have to rot in prison for nine years in their seventies but they are victims nonetheless and may have a far graver sentence waiting for them when they stand before Christ. Jesus is not going to want to hear how you thought Donald Trump had an Elijah mantle so you let someone from Mike Lindell's organization access voting machines you swore to protect. He is not going to be reviewing your voting record. You better hope and pray that you wake up and start serving Him instead of the political deception merchants from Charisma News and the NAR. Pray that Tina Peters wakes up from the fog of the deception she is under and comes to saving faith in Jesus Christ.
