False Demon Slayer Saldivar Offers Eight Minute Abs, I Mean Eight Minute Deliverance
By Anthony Wade
Isaiah Saldivar teaches against scriptures in his latest hucksterism selling books about false demonic deliverance...
::::::::
But the evil spirit answered them, "Jesus I know, and Paul I recognize, but who are you?" And the man in whom was the evil spirit leaped on them, mastered all of them and overpowered them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded. - Acts 19:15-16 (ESV)
First of all, a thanks to Sean Christie at Revealing Truth Ministries who did a video exposing this. Isaiah Saldivar is one of the You Tube demon slayer whackadoodles selling deliverance from imaginary demons. Headed up by charlatans like Greg Locke and Kathryn Krick, demon slayers prey on the ignorance of people stuck in the apostate church system, by wowing them with the oohs and ahhs of Charismania. Krick famously pretended a child writhing on the ground in front of her was possessed and she refused to deliver the child until the mother sowed a big enough seed into her ministry through a phone app. Cause you know, Jesus. Beloved, the spiritual realm is real but these hucksters are not. The bible is very clear about demons and casting them out. In the key verses we see what happened to the sons of a Jewish High Priest named Sceva when they thought they could dabble in casting out demons. Now, I do not know how badly you have to be beaten to end up naked, but it sounds like a pretty good thrashing to me. This is serious business beloved, and these clowns trivialize it and bastardize it. The above link is to a video from Saldivar where he offers seven steps to cast demons out and sells it in only eight minutes. Please keep in mind that the only reason he does this is to sell his new book coming out which expounds on these seven points. Shameless self-promotion at its best. Joel Osteen would be proud. So, let us reason once more together.
"This is the call of every believer - to cast out demons. Everywhere Jesus went He cast out demons. The disciples cast out demons. He gave them authority over demons. The early church cast out demons. Bottom line is we live in a demonized generation and a demonized culture. We can't keep being scared of demons and scared of deliverance. I'm going to teach you in the next eight minutes, seven steps to cast out demons." - Isaiah Saldivar
The call of every believer is not to cast out demons. That is absurd. It is true that Jesus, the Son of God, delivered many people from demons. It is also true that He gave his disciples, not us, authority over them. It is true that the Apostle Paul and others in the New Testament cast demons out. None of this is prescriptive for us today. We are not supposed to be walking around decreeing, declaring and thinking like the Seven sons of Sceva that we are spiritual tough guys. This generation and culture is no more demonic than any other that preceded it. We are not special. Notice he also plays the macho card claiming we are scared because this drivel is often marketed to young men. If you think you can command demons as this idiot is going to teach you, then you should be scared, unless you like being beaten until your clothes fall off.
"The first step is the person needs to be a believer and want deliverance. Demons recognize free will. They recognize whether someone wants it or doesn't. So if you are forcing someone to get delivered it is not going to work. Demons are going to laugh you and say they have legal right to be here and technically they do have a right to be there. They don't have to leave if you are forcing it on somebody. If you manage to deliver and unbeliever Matthew 12 says they are just going to come back stronger. So to me there is no point doing deliverance on somebody who is going to go right back to their sin. If you read the bible the people who got delivered were desperate they wanted it and they came to Jesus." - Isaiah Saldivar
So, right away we abandon the bible. Beloved, a born-again believer CANNOT be demon possessed. Do you know why? Because we have the indwelt Holy Spirit. All of the biblical examples were involving unbelievers, who often became saved because of the deliverance. Yet his entire premise is the person must be saved, which would make possession an impossibility. The problem for Isaiah is that he cannot sell that because people who are not in the church, unbelievers, would never buy it. So, to fleece his flock, he must convince them that they have demonic possession struggles, so that he can sell them books about deliverance. The second criteria is equally stupid. So, these people have to want to be delivered? Is that how it worked in the bible? Did Legion want to be delivered? Did the slave girl in Acts? Of course not. What this criteria does for Saldivar is it sets up the excuse that if deliverance fails, it must be because the person did not really want to be delivered. The Matthew 12 verses highlight that the person who has had demons cast out must then be saved, and thus the Holy Spirit fills them, or else the demons could come back stronger. It only further proves that his premise is ridiculous. Those that were delivered by Jesus were not always desperate at all. The notion that Jesus would deny deliverance unless they somehow were desperate is blasphemous.
"Step two starts by leading them through prayers of renouncing, dealing with unforgiveness, and then verbally telling the demons to leave. So they need to say, I renounce witchcraft, I renounce lust, you're just renouncing whatever it is the demon came in through. You're breaking their legal right. Then unforgiveness is a thing demons hang onto so having the person verbally say they forgive whoever it was that hurt them is a great way to see that breakthrough. Then I lead them through a prayer that says I don't want the demons, they have no authority. You have no legal right over me." - Isaiah Saldivar
Here is the sell. The demon slayers create this extra-biblical fantasy world where every day common sins or problems, are actually demons that must be cast out. So, if you are having an affair, you are battling a demon of lust. If you like to beat your wife, well that is a demon of anger or rage. Most of the time, sin is sin. They are choices we make. Eve was not possessed when she ate the fruit. David was not possessed when he committed adultery. This false paradigm has two awful consequences. First of all, it cheapens when there might really be demonic activity and draws people away from true demonic activity, with the unsaved. Secondly, it provides and excuse and creates a victim mentality. Suddenly, instead of being an adulterer, you were just battling a demon. If you find yourself morbidly obese, instead of realizing that maybe you are eating too much, it is just a demon of gluttony you need to be delivered from. Unforgiveness is very debilitating, primarily for believers because we have been forgiven so much. For unbelievers it is like a cancer inside of us, eating away at any joy until we resolve it but those are also decisions we make. Maybe it is because of pain and hurt, but they are decisions, nonetheless. It is not some imp sitting on our shoulder, whispering in our ear. Demons do not have "legal right." There are no examples of Jesus not casting out demons because they had some kind of contract. How inane.
"That leads to number three. Next, you are going to confront the demon. Call the demon out. I simply say I bind the spirit of lust. I bind the spirit of anger. Whatever the spirit is. I am literally talking to the demon. You need to put pressure on the demon and then ask the person do you feel anything. Do you sense anything. Is there anything weird going on in your body. Are you getting any weird anxiety. Heart racing, do you hear any voices." - Isaiah Saldivar
Well, when you are making all of this up, why not add a little more false theology. You need to put pressure on the demon? What the heck does that even mean? So, imagine this scene. You are being told that the reason why you keep sleeping with your secretary is that there is a lust demon inside of you. This lunatic is standing over you commanding this imaginary demon to be bound. He is literally talking to a demon allegedly inside of you somewhere, I assume your pants. Then he is asking if you feel something? Are you serious? A sense of weird anxiety and heart racing? Of course, impressionable people convinced that a demonic force is camped out inside of them are going to think they feel something! What nonsense.
"Step four, you are going to bind the demons in Jesus name. There is no power in my name. The bible says what you bind on earth will be bound in the heavenlies and what you loose So you want to make sure you are binding the demon and commanding them to go into the abyss. There is one place in scripture where demons say they do not want to go and that is into the abyss. Demons often times leave through the mouth, they are very legalistic so it is best to command them specifically where you want them to go. If they're feeling stuck in the person's chest, you got to keep putting pressure. This could take hours. These people have spent years like this so we cannot just think they're going to leave instantly." - Isaiah Saldivar
Wait a second, didn't we just bind them in step three? Was that just the preliminary binding? Demons sometimes leave through the mouth? What are you talking about? Where do they leave other times? The nose? They can get stuck in the chest? It seems Isaiah has seen the movie "Aliens" one too many times. Where in the bible does it say demons are legalistic, so it is best to tell them where to go? Come out of that person now and go to Tuscaloosa! This is so beyond silly. Although, who hasn't cast out an imaginary demon but forgotten to tell them where to go only to find them later hiding in a closet? I also love the notion that we can declare in Jesus' name for a demon to leave and we should not expect that to work. Was there any biblical example where demons just said no when Jesus commanded them to come out? Please.
"Step five - If the demon does not leave, find out why. This is the point that I would ask the demon what is their name and they will often speak out of the person. I will ask them why they won't leave. It could be a legal consent, it could be their holding on to something, it could be a demonic item they're attached to, it could be unforgiveness, it could be unconfessed sin or open doors. There is a reason why they are not leaving. So, this is the point I would say why are you not leaving, why are you still there. Jesus asked their name in the bible so it is ok for us to engage and ask them their name. This is confrontation, interrogation and not conversation." - Isaiah Saldivar
Find out why? So, if the demon refuses to come out, have a chat? Maybe a cup of coffee? Hey what's your name, do you possess here often? Oh, but it is spiritual tough guy time, so just interrogate them! You know, like the seven sons of Sceva tried to do! Notice again all of the "reasons" are blamed on the victim. Oh, it must be unconfessed sin or some legal consent they have been given. The bottom line here is that if you try to cast out demons and they do not, then it is probably related to you not having the Holy Spirit. The power of Jesus and His name is not limited by the opinions of the demonic. Let's discuss the final two steps together.
"Once they have left you are going to go back and check everything is gone. I check two or three times and ask if the demon is still there. I am going to look at body language. Are they twitching or acting weird. If they feel that nothing is there, then we go to step seven. This is the most important - we are going to pray for the Holy Spirit to fill the person. During this portion they may start manifesting a demon again and then you have to go back to step three." - Isaiah Saldivar
What? I thought you cast it out in the mighty name of Jesus? You have to go back and check that maybe the demon just pretended to be cast out? Those sneaky fake demons! So, we come full circle. The foundational error to this false teaching was the notion that believers can be demon possessed, which is impossible because of the indwelt Holy Spirit. Here in the concluding step, we see Saldivar essentially agrees by suggesting that AFTER casting the demon out, THEN we have to make sure the Holy Spirit fills the person? What Isaiah Saldivar is essentially teaching is that he disagrees with the bible:
You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him. But if Christ is in you, although the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness. If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you. - Romans 8:9-11 (ESV)
Saldivar's argument is that a born-again believer can be demon possessed and once delivered from that demon, you should pray for the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. By default, he is teaching contrary to these scriptures from Romans and is saying that we are not indwelt at salvation. That is a blasphemous mocking of God and His Spirit, as is Saldivar's entire ministry. Mark and avoid these fake demon slayers hawking their newest books that are contrary to the word of God.
