Charlie Shamp is an unapologetic false prophet. He has actually tried to argue that people who do not believe in prophets cannot argue that he is a false prophet, a point both scripturally and logically stupid. He has prophesied some real blunders including the reelection of Trump and some disastrous claims he made from God regarding the 2018 midterm elections. After this failed prophecy, where he was quoting God DIRECTLY, he had the temerity to say the following:

"Saddened that what I was shown prophetically did not come to pass during this midterm, but I'm grateful for God's Grace and Mercy over the nation of America will continue. For we know in part, and we prophesy in part; I'm just thankful that God lets us be a part of his plan. Praying for America, the nation that I love so dearly will be Awakened by the blood of Christ!" - Charlie Shamp

Wait, what? So, you claim God spoke to you directly, and are now saddened that those words did not come to pass? Are you blaming God for that failure? The only other alternative is that YOU were either duped demonically or you were lying. Shamp's horrific usage of the Corinthians verse would mean we can never trust what God says because, hey we only prophesy in part? I will give a clearer example. False Prophet David Taylor once said that God told him the Broncos were going to win Super Bowl XLVIII over the Seattle Seahawks. It may have seemed like a safe prediction to him because the Broncos had all world quarterback Peyton Manning. Seattle actually had a defense however and the Broncos not only lost, but lost bigly - 43-8, the largest win ever for an underdog in history. How moronic would it be to then come out and say, well that's a shame but we only prophesy in part! Does God know everything or not? Shamp's record of being false is extensive, detailed, and clear enough that we should mark and avoid, but let us reason once more through the above linked article from this week.

But Shamp says these entities are not just fictional, they represent real spiritual forces that seek to deceive, drain and oppress us as believers. Now, I have always written against Halloween in the lives of believers but that is not what Shamp is up to here. He is actually using the specter of Halloween to push his own brand of silliness. Shamp fancies himself a prophet and the niche he has carved out for himself in Charismania is a mixture between NAR dominionism and the spooky false spiritual warfare nonsense we see permeating much of the church today. So, there are werewolf spirits now Charlie? Are these like werewolves from Wolfen or like from Warren Zevon's Werewolves in London? Inquiring and discerning minds want to know. Do these spirits only exist when the moon is full? Do we need silver bullets?

'In a recent video, Shamp explained why this in particularly pertinent for the latter.

"We need to know how to identify the characteristics of these spiritual entities and to identify their presence," Shamp says, the founder of Destiny Encounters International. "Most importantly, we need to know how to guard ourselves against their deceptive tactics and to address the occultic connections and dangers associated with the involvement of occultic practices. "But fear not. We are not left defenseless in this spiritual battle. We must cultivate a strong spiritual foundation through prayer, through worship, through Bible study and reliance upon the Holy Spirit. We can recognize and resist the deceptive tactics of these spiritual entities and we can help others find freedom and victory in their own lives."' - Charlie Shamp

Let me translate the gnostic jibber-jabber Shamp throws out here to make the cause seem pious and solemn instead of bat-poop crazy. He knows he has no biblical foundation to stand on with this absurd teaching so instead of proving the spirits exist, he will take experiential characteristics and create "spirit enemies" out of them. As we will see later in this article - if you feel drained all the time you must be dealing with a vampire spirit! Or maybe you need a B 12 shot, who can really tell? He is again setting himself us as the spiritual source and content expert for people but all he is doing is spinning yarns from horror movies to try and scare unsuspecting people.

'Shamp says the key passage of Scripture in doing this is Proverbs 30, beginning with verse 12, "There is a generation that is pure in its own eyes and yet it is not washed from its filthiness. There is a generation, oh how lofty are there eyes and their eyelids are lifted up. There is a generation whose teeth are as swords and their jaw, teeth, as knives to devour the poor from off the earth and the need from among men." Shamp says that we're not alone in this battle. God is with us every step of the way and has given us the ability to combat these demonic spirits through His Word and His Spirit and, as a community of believers, we have the authority and the power and the presence of Jesus to drive out every spiritual force. "We are called to destroy, to uncover these demonic forces and bring others to spiritual victory," Shamp says. "These entities may seem like they are fairy tales, but indeed there are demonic forces that are at work in the unseen and manifest in our world."' - Charisma News

This is just confusing. I am unsure why he referenced the Proverbs verses since they do not apply at all to his teaching that we must destroy these false demonic spirits he has created. Nowhere in scripture are we commanded to combat these demonic spirits, mostly because he made them up. Are there demonic forces today? Absolutely but they are not werewolf spirits. That is ridiculous. Everyone knows they are Creature from the Black Lagoon spirits! Not to worry because Gamera spirits are here to protect us! I've seen these movies too! Are we sensing how silly all of this is yet? The true fairy tale is the notion that Charlie Shamp hears from a God he clearly does not follow.

'There is the vampire spirit, which Shamp calls "deceptive energy drainers." He says they are not fictional creatures of the night and they represent spiritual entities that feed on the life force of the vitality of individuals. They operate through deception, often appearing as charming and alluring, but their true nature is one of spiritual and emotional draining, just as a fictional vampire drains blood from its victims. "They seek to weaken and control their victims by draining them of peace and joy and spiritual energy," Shamp says. "However, as a Christian, we are called to be vigilant, discerning Satan, who masquerades as an angel of the light of the Word. God declares in 2 Corinthians 11:14 that we must guard our hearts and minds and stay rooted in the truth of God's word and rely on the discernment of the Holy Spirit to recognize the presence of these vampire spirits."' - Charisma News

Those pesky energy drainers! Hate when that happens! Ever feel like you are barely pieced together? Yeah, that might be the dreaded Frankenstein spirit at work. Do you sense that your dreams are closing in on you? The Freddy Krueger spirit probably. Have you ever felt like going to church in a hockey match wielding a machete? Well, you get the idea. Demons disguising themselves as angels of light is a very real thing and he is right that being rooted in the word is how we can know right from wrong. How we tell sane from crazy. How we tell normal from strange. LeStrange that is.

"In Ryan LeStrange's book, "Hell's Toxic Trio," LeStrange says that beneath the surface of your daily life there is a conspiracy against you. Whether or not you realize it, spiritual forces are at work in every element of your life. However, some of these spirits have an agenda to cripple your faith and draw you away from God. The toxic trio of hell's most threatening conspirators consists of the Jezebel spirit, the python spirit and the religious spirit. With the Jezebel spirit, seduction is its game as it distracts, manipulates and deceives. The python spirit chokes the wind of God out of believers. The religious spirit sows legalism and bondage into the hearts of God's people. These three spirits have the same goal: to reverse the progress of your spiritual growth and break your faith. LeStrange exposes how these spirits conspire to execute Satan's agenda on the earth and equips you with the tools to rise above the Jezebel spirit, the python spirit, and the religious spirit so you can live in victory." - Charisma News

Well, now that we have dragged LeStrange into this, things should become clearer, lol. Let me assure you beloved, the Jezebel, Python and religious spirits are not real. They were created by hucksters trying to sell you on false spiritual warfare. These concepts are straight up charismatic nonsense. Listen, there are evil spirits at work. There are spirits in the world that are of this world. The only real agenda here is that of the false teacher trying to scare you into believing they are a source of good spiritual warfare. They liken themselves Glenda the good witch and the evil Jezebel is that mean ole wicked witch of the west. Perhaps the most pervasive and insidious false spirit listed here is the religious spirit. This inane concept is taught because false teachers do not want to be exposed as charlatans by the word of God. So how to avoid it? Claim anyone insisting on adherence to the bible as having an evil religious spirit that just can't see when God is "doing a new thing." How to rise above it? Listen to the false teacher. Listen to the poor theology. Listen to your personal experiences. Listen to your wickedly deceitful heart. Just do not under any circumstances listen to the guy holding the bible insisting you should listen to that.

"There are many other spirits we must be aware of, Shamp says, including the shape-shifting spirit that is an "illusionist." These spirits are often confined to the realm of myth, Shamp says, but they are very real. "They do exist and they are spiritual entities that possess the ability to change their form and appearance, often leading to confusion and manipulation," Shamp says. "These entities pray on vulnerable individuals assuming different identities to deceive and control. They may appear as trusted friends, family members or spiritual leaders, but their true nature is one of deception." Shamp isn't a novice at discerning these spirits. He's been ministering for 20 years and has a long legacy in recognizing them. His desire is to see believers who are traumatized by these spirits to be set free instantaneously from these demonic entities and to live the life of freedom God has prepared for them." - Charisma News

As if the toxic trio was not enough garbage, Shamp quadruples down now with shapeshifting spirits? Let us apply his silliness to reality though. According to Charlie Shamp, there are people who appear to us as trusted spiritual leaders but in reality, they have shifted their shape from that of a deceiver, confuser and manipulator. From a spiritual perspective the purpose of deceiving, confusing and manipulating would be to lead one astray. So says our key verse for today and lo and behold who these shapeshifters are according to the bible? False prophets like Charlie Shamp. Thanks for clarifying Chuck.

Beloved, I would seriously hope that low hanging fruit like this is easily discernable but deceivers like Charlie Shamp generate untold numbers of followers. The sad thing is these teachings distract from real spiritual warfare. There is an enemy to our souls, but he is not replicating horror story rejects. The reality is far more terrifying than Samara from The Ring. The reality is that he disguises himself and his emissaries as angels of light to present a false gospel and doctrine to us for the sole purpose of scattering us away from the only Savior to our sin sick souls, Jesus Christ. If you want to see the victims of this horror story, turn to Matthew 7. They are the poor, rejected souls exclaiming "Lord Lord!" They thought they were leading their lives devoted to Christ, but they were sold a false christ and a false salvation. They were deceived, confused and manipulated by men like Charlie Shamp. Instead of chasing the Lord and His word, they were off chasing the Creature from the Black Lagoon spirit until the day they stand before Jesus and hear He never knew them. THAT is frightening. That is the real horror story.
