False Teacher Kimberly Daniels Teaching "Religious Spirit" Theology on Steroids

By Anthony Wade

US Representative Kimberly Daniels is also a horrific false teacher selling the old "religious spirit nonsense...

So Jesus again said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. All who came before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. He who is a hired hand and not a shepherd, who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees, and the wolf snatches them and scatters them. He flees because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep. - John 10:7-13 (ESV)

Kimberly Daniels has flown under the national radar for too long apparently. Daniels is actually a US Representative from Jacksonville, that actively pursues all things Trump and the NAR dominionist package of faux outrage issues. Most of this appears to be bluster and cover for her network of grifting, some of which she has had to admit to legally. In 2015 she admitted to using campaign funds for personal expenses. More recently she was busted for shuffling properties she owned to pretend they were owned by her church to avoid disclosing them. In total, she owned eight properties but seven of them were shielded by lying that the church owned them. Her claim was the church paid for all the mortgages. Even the one house in her name was not listed in her financial documents. After she got divorced, because you know, Jesus, one of the homes she claimed was owned by the church had the proceeds divided between her and her now ex-husband. She has since had to admit to filing false financial disclosures, hallelujah. While this details her grifting of people of Florida, her grift upon apostate churchgoers is in the realm of demonology, where she has written over ten books on garbage spiritual warfare that of course was published through the cesspool known as Charisma News. She has spoken as slavery being positive and made dismissive statements regarding the Holocaust. A real gem she appears to be. All of this political NAR mess aside, her theology is a hodge podge of insane demon casting with exceptionally bad theology. Oh, and she "pastors" a church. This devotional is pertaining to her article on Charisma news, linked above, entitled "Discerning Demonic Spirits Within Your Church." This set off alarms which only grew more worrisome as I read this absurd article that presents a real danger to believers who are essentially encouraged to lower the bible in their lives in favor of doctrinal grifters like Kimberly Daniels. Let us reason once more together beloved.

"One Saturday evening one of our ministry teams was called to the church for an emergency deliverance session. Carol had been released from a mental institution and was driven six hours to meet with us. We were in the parking lot when the car drove up. What I am about to tell you may be hard to believe, because I struggled with it even though I saw it with my own eyes. When they pulled onto the church grounds, the entire car began to shake. A little woman about 45 years old stepped out of the car, talking to herself. As I came closer to her I heard these words come out of her mouth: "Yeah, Kim can't cast me out. She never dealt with a demon like this before. Benny Hinn can't cast me out. You do not know who I am." We had not experienced a demon that talked this way before, and the voice coming from Carol was totally demonic. The woman was comatose, but the spirits used her body fluently. My husband and I were accompanied by two ex-witches and an ex-prostitute. We were so shocked by what we saw that we sat down and watched the demon walk around the room (through the woman's body) and quote Scriptures." - Kimberly Daniels

I call shenanigans! Seriously, this story is ridiculous and of course, unsubstantiated. You should know when someone prefaces a story by saying you will have a hard time believing it, you should probably not believe it. One thing that indicates the story is made up is the demon referencing Benny Hinn as some kind of competent religious leader. In Kimberly Daniels' circle, Hinn is probably considered a top source in deliverance but in reality, demons would know that he is on their side. There is no way they would reference Hinn like this to imply that he somehow is a respectable Christian leader that they were more powerful than. This reads like a bad joke. A liar, a prostitute and two ex-witches walk into a parking lot.

"We were all breathless! Carol's family had been in church for many generations, and she had been in church all of her life. The spirit revealed itself to us as a "religious spirit." We had not heard of such a thing. The demon mocked us and said, "I prophesy and quote Scriptures like the Son of God. Everything you can do, I can do better!" Many people get offended when I mention the religious spirit. But these spirits killed Christ. They are legitimate enemies of God. They are "demons of the letter," and 2 Corinthians 3:6 tells us that the letter kills. There is only one spirit that kills: Satan comes to steal, kill and destroy (John 10:10). There is one thief, one murderer and one destroyer. He does not care if he uses a sawed-off shotgun or a brand-new Bible to do his dirty work." - Kimberly Daniels

I always love when false teachers quote John 10:10 incorrectly. Much of the church does as well. Read the key verses today, including the context. Are these verses speaking abut the devil? No. They are speaking against false teachers, which is why it is so ironic when false teachers quote it like Daniels does here. The thief is likened to the hireling, which Daniels clearly is. The larger point here is the clear intent of the article is going to be to speak against the made-up argument of the NAR and false teachers alike - the "religious spirit." Allow me to translate from bovine excrement to English. People who preach against the religious spirit are the likes of Bill Johnson, Kris Vallotton and nearly everyone on Charisma News. Their problem is that people use the bible to prove they are false, so their push back is to paint people who insist on using the bible as "religious" and to go even further to liken this insistence on biblical accuracy as somehow being demonic. The reason why people get upset is they know this argument is pure garbage designed to lead people away from the word of God. Religious spirits did not kill Christ. What a dumb theology. First of all, Christ said no one takes His life but he lays it down willingly. Secondly, the Pharisees zeal was not about religion but about the consolidation of power. As Jesus said, they used the letter of the law without understanding the purpose. That is not what Daniels dislikes about her critics. She dislikes being exposed for the false teacher she is. The one murdering doctrine is Kimberly Daniels. The one destroyer here, destroying people's faith in God, is Kimberly Daniels.

"We took a deep breath, shook ourselves, accepted the truth of what we were confronting and began to work those devils over like a jackhammer. Thank God for the Holy Ghost! We did not know where to start, but the prophetic anointing of God came in and gave us direction. We pleaded the blood of Jesus over that room and took authority over the boldness of the devils we were dealing with. The demons began to beg for us to leave them alone. We could hear them crying as they came out of the woman's body. God blessed us to discover the entry point of the devils in Carol's life. After many hours of deliverance, Carol got a major breakthrough. Today she is not running away, and demons are not speaking through her anymore. She has a new glow on her face, and I see her at conferences all the time. She is living a normal life, because the spirit of torment has been broken off of her life." - Kimberly Daniels

Wow, what a story! It of course is ridiculous. The whole claiming authority nonsense is more false NAR demon theology. The bible tells us of folks who thought they would take authority over demons. They were the seven sons of Sceva. The demons responded one day and beat them so bad they ran away naked. Realize this dramatic drivel is only designed to wow the reader into thinking something supernatural was occurring when it was not. Working the devils over like a jackhammer? Please stop. Just stop.

"God wants His people to be in a place to hear from Him, and "religion" is the greatest hindrance. If you believe I have a personal problem with religion, this teaching is already helping?? you discern accurately! I hate religion because God hates it. It is one of the worst subliminal bondages in the body of Christ." - Kimberly Daniels

Wow, just does not cover the depth of depravity here. The pure evilness Daniels clearly traffics in. So, God hates religion? Are you serious? God established religion! James teaches us what pure religion is! Paul goes into extensive details about the organization of religion, including church service and even how the gifts should be manifest within those services. Only a doctrinal idiot would try to claim God hates religion. What God hates is false teaching. Dividing the brethren is one of the seven listed things God hates and Romans teaches us that division is brought into the body through false teaching! Do not lose sight of the introduction. Kimberly Daniels hate religion because it exposes her as the grifter and liar she is.

"When our discerners are sharpened to hear God's voice, we will not listen to or follow the voices of the enemy. Too often we think the enemy's voice only comes as it did in Carol's case"as a strange, demonic sound. And that's exactly why we need discernment. For every gift that God has given, the enemy has sent a counterfeit. James said that "every good and perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variableness, neither shadow of turning" (James 1:17). In Acts 16, the soothsayer followed the apostles for days without any notice. She wasn't chanting or throwing voodoo dust. She was quoting Scriptures. The Bible says the devil comes as an angel of light (2 Cor. 11:14). I believe that the encounter in Acts was prophetic in many ways. Many people who are operating in "other" spirits have followed the church quoting Scriptures for too long. This is the season when the apostolic mantle of God is going to fall on the church and publicly reveal the counterfeits." - Kimberly Daniels

Another staple of false teachers is to simply lie about what scripture says. Read this story from Acts 16 and you will see that this slave girl had a spirit of divination, and her owners used her fortune telling to make money. The scripture makes no reference to her "quoting scripture" and it is beyond offensive that Daniels is clearly arguing that quoting scripture is somehow a bad thing. All the text tells is that the slave girl was following Paul and declaring that he was a servant of God who proclaimed the way of salvation. There is also no "apostolic mantle" that is falling - she just made that one up. Notice the scheme here is to again paint scripture negatively and discernment as something needed to hear the voice of God. What she peddles however is not hearing God's voice but rather the voice of the devil whispering into our deceitful hearts. The PRIMARY way we hear the voice of God is through scripture! The amount of people who heard the audible voice of God in the bible was quite limited. This experiential teaching is straight out of Bethel where you are taught to believe that any random thought that jumps into your heart is actually the voice of God. That is biblically absurd. We rely on scripture because it removes our subjective and wickedly deceitful heart from the equation.

"First Corinthians tells us the gifts of God operate by one Spirit who submits only to Him. This is how we can easily detect the counterfeit: (1) They operate by another spirit; and (2) they submit their gifts to many gods. Paul had to specify and make sure the people knew which Jesus he was preaching about. He said, "And that this Jesus, whom I preach unto you, is Christ" (Acts 17:3). Second Corinthians 11:4 gives a similar warning: "For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him." These verses refer to the simplicity of the gospel. Paul was telling the church at Corinth that he feared the possibility of deception creeping into the church. He used the example of the serpent beguiling Eve through its subtlety. He told them to be watchful so their minds would not be corrupted. Discerning of spirits is needed more than ever in the body of Christ. I believe that from reading the previous passages, we can safely say there is a counterfeit Jesus and Holy Ghost spirits, and another gospel that can be proclaimed." - Kimberly Daniels

Yes! There absolutely are counterfeit Christs that have infiltrated the church today that proclaim a different gospel. She presents a completely objective list to discern them. If they operate by another spirit? And who gets to determine if that is happening, you? The real way to discern is to put up what they teach to the word of God. Discernment is not gooseflesh, liver shivers, or feelings. If someone teaches something, we do as the noble Bereans did and check it out with what God has already said! That's discernment! In the world of Kimberly Daniels however, that is having a "religious spirit."

"This is a time in God when we must allow Him to sharpen our spiritual discerners. I believe the Bible supports the fact that every believer has a certain level of discernment given to him or her.

Romans 8 says the sons and daughters of God are led by His Spirit. First Corinthians 2:15 tells us that he who is spiritual judges, or discerns, all things. First John 4:1 says that as believers we must "try" (dokimazo, which means to test, examine and prove) the spirits to judge whether they are of God. And Hebrews 5:14 says, "strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil." This Scripture clearly tells us that there are born-again believers who have (1) matured in the area of discerning spirits by reason of use; and (2) exercised to discern both good and evil. In 1 Corinthians, Paul emphasized that he was teaching by the Holy Ghost, comparing spiritual things to spiritual things (2:4). In doing this, he identified the enemy that would hinder true discernment of the things of God the natural man." In the occult world this is a term for a believer who walks by what he sees instead of by faith in God. Participants in occult activity believe they can easily curse a "natural man." Paul said the natural man would not receive the things of the spirit because they are foolishness to him. He goes on to say the natural man cannot know the deeper things of God because they are spiritually discerned (1 Cor. 2:14). The curse of the natural man is the fruit of religion. It has a form of godliness, but it denies the power thereof (2 Tim. 3:5)." - Kimberly Daniels

Once again, proving her bankruptcy when it comes to scripture, the natural man referred to in these verses does not refer to believers but the exact opposite. In fact, someone who says they are a believer but walks by what he sees instead of faith may in fact not be a believer. These verses however are contrasting how the unbeliever cannot understand the things of God because they do not have the indwelt Holy Spirit to lead them into all truth. Spiritual things are discerned only through the spirit of God but why in the world would your theology start by eradicating His word! Regarding the Hebrews verse - exactly how do we discern good from evil apart from His word! Keep in mind that the scheme persists here and that is to have people not listen to the word but instead trust charlatans like Kimberly Daniels with her eight homes with mortgages paid by the church she runs.

There are many things religious people do not believe in that are scriptural. They deny the power of things such as women in ministry, speaking in tongues, casting out devils and more. They are distracted by and drawn to things that concern the outer appearance. Apparel and programs become the agenda of their everyday worship, and there is no spirit or truth in any of it. The sad part is that there are demons behind these religious acts, and they run rampant in churches. The religious spirit is the strongest spirit I have warred against as a believer. This is a devil that you will waste your time trying to cast out if you do not deal with its essence. The essence of the religious spirit is a garment of bondage or a cloak of deception that must be removed before true deliverance can take place." - Kimberly Daniels

Ahh, and we come to it. The reason behind the need for Daniels to write this article. She knows full well the bible forbids women from being pastors, but she obviously makes a great deal of money from fleecing her flock so anyone who correctly handles the word is deemed, "religious." It also is not "women in ministry" as that is a red herring. The issue is women teaching or preaching in roles superior to men. Tongues is also perfectly biblical but not the baby babble Daniels and all of Charismania practice. Lapsing into "ashondmondashabadabadingdong" is not a heavenly language. Her adding the casting out of devils here is clearly self-serving as well since that is her primary church grift. She does not war against anything but the law who continues to expose her criminality. The essence of religious spirit, cloak of deception, garment of bondage? All charismatic buzz words that have zero biblical basis and are designed to scratch itching ears and make you sound super-spiritual. Thankfully we have the bible to debunk this pseudo-spiritual gobbledygook.

"There are principalities that rule over every religious network, and Scripture proves this easily. First Corinthians 2:7-8 says: "But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory, which none of the princes of this world knew; for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory" (emphasis added). Note that the word princes is related to the word principality in the original Greek. We know that physical people killed Jesus. It is also safe to say religious people called for His execution. Despite this, the Bible makes reference to higher powers than the people who killed Jesus. Ephesians 2 talks about the prince of the power of the air that rules over the children of disobedience. The people carried out the orders, but the orders were written in the second heaven. The devil used the tool of religion to kill the Lord of glory. The good thing about this Scripture is that even though the devil's plan was completed, he had no understanding of what he was doing. The Bible says if he had known what he was doing, he would not have done it. Glory to God!" - Kimberly Daniels

This sounds so spiritual but the premise of the usage of princes somehow alluding to principalities is not supported. What the text simply means is that if those in charge, both rulers of Israel and Rome, had known the hidden wisdom that belonged to God alone regarding His plan for the salvation of the world, they never would have crucified Him. This of course reinforces the notion that Christ Himself said when he declared that no man is responsible for His death for He willingly lays down His life. Does this woman even own a bible? It had very little to do with "religion" and even if you want to butcher that, Christianity is not Judaism and the majority of the bible is about the business of religion. What is demonic, is false religion. What is of the devil is false teaching. What is absolutely depraved, and evil is this teaching that seeks to marginalize scripture in the lives of believers.

"If you are a believer and you feel like you have not been taking advantage of your spiritual discernment, it's not too late. Sharpening your discerner requires spiritual discipline first of all. As with working out in the natural, the most difficult part of the regimen is developing the discipline to stick to it. As you get started, first ask yourself, "Am I a religious person?" If you are not sure, here are some indicators of religion:

You are a regimented person; any change in your schedule upsets you in an unusual way.

Your prayers are repetitive, and you often run out of things to pray as soon as you start praying.

You find yourself being very judgmental of how things appear, and what people think is an obsession to you.

You are very comfortable with how things have always been and have guarded yourself against any move of God that you are not familiar with.

You have difficulty obeying God when you know He has spoken because what He has told you to do does not make sense." - Kimberly Daniels

My discerner is the indwelt Holy Spirit, and I am nothing to be able to "sharpen" Him. Religious people run out of prayers? Not any religious person I ever saw. In fact, people who seem enamored with the religiosity of religion, make a spectacle of prayer and I do not recall them ever running out of material. Religious people are regimented? You must understand beloved the underlying grift going on here. Daniels and her ilk teach an experiential Christianity that seeks to not be constrained by what God has said in scripture. So, of premium value to them is flexibility to go beyond the bible. Thus, anyone who is regimented, or insistent on biblical accuracy, must be "religious." The jab at being judgmental regarding appearance is to deflect common biblical criticisms of the excess folks like these fake demonologists traffic in. The third item is classic false teacher mumbo-jumbo. Moves of God I am unfamiliar with means false teachings not found in the bible. To the experiential Christians such as Daniels and Bethelites God is always doing a new thing, or pouring wine into new wineskins, or any other unbiblical euphemism to explain away their ridiculously unbiblical teaching and behavior. The last entry here is so bad but at least it reveals how false Kimberly Daniels is. God does not tell us to do things that "do not make sense." We may not have wisdom to understand but God always makes sense. Our problem is in humanizing the Creator of the Universe. Realize again, this is Daniels setting up the narrative that when she tells you God said something, we need to be obedient to it and not question when it runs contrary to scripture. When you combine these elements outlined one must conclude that if you disagree with Kimberly Daniels based upon what the bible says, then you have a demonic religious spirit. Wow. She concludes this hot mess with a prayer that does not deserve to be repeated. I will however highlight the lowlights:

"I renounce any zeal that I have obtained in God that is not according to true knowledge.

I break loose from the paradigms of the expectations of others.

I pull down every guard I have built around my mind that causes me to reject legitimate moves of God because of a lack of familiarity.

Father, forgive me for being judgmental of things and people I do not understand." - Kimberly Daniels

True knowledge beloved is found in the bible. It is not found through hustlers and hucksters enriching themselves on our naivete. The only other expectation we should have comes from the Lord, through His word. If someone is claiming some bizarre scene that is outside of scripture is a genuine move of the Lord, we should REJECT it. We are to properly judge what is from God and what is not - which by the way is the literal definition of discernment. I am amazed that someone as clearly corrupt and false as Kimberly Daniels has never come across my desk but now that she has, we should mark and avoid this scam artist and false teacher.
