"Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you. Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye.- Matthew 7:1-5 (ESV)
We knew it was just a matter of time beloved. The NAR and their political masters want to gin up as much outrage and victimhood as possible in the church in order to try and mobilize them to vote in four months for all things Republican. They know an angry Christian is more likely to vote than one who knows the intellectual difference between a depiction of a French painting and a depiction from an Italian painting. They do not want church folk to discern that, like the Sons of Thunder before us, we know not of what spirit we are, which is why we attack our fellow man even though they need the gospel. Above are two links that just came out, one not surprisingly from self-appointed, not anointed, culture warrior: Dr. Michael Brown. Let us start with the first link, the shorter one, from CBN News.
"The opening ceremonies of the Paris Olympics mocked the sacred Last Supper of Jesus Christ with a blasphemous drag queen presentation over the weekend, fueling global outrage that finally forced Olympics organizers to issue a partial apology on Sunday. Paris 2024 spokesperson Anne Descamps claimed on Sunday, "Clearly there was never an intention to show disrespect to any religious group" If people have taken any offense we are, of course, really, really sorry." Christians around the world were stunned by the disturbing image of seeing a sexualized recreation of Leonardo da Vinci's famous "The Last Supper" painting." - CBN News
Let us try to deal in facts, which the NAR does not care about. The apology is being wielded by the grievance merchants as some kind of admission of intent and that is simply untrue. The person behind the scene production has said that in no way was the Last Supper from da Vinci, even remotely the inspiration. The apology was a statement saying they are sorry that Christians are reacting like the snowflakes they used to deride other as. For the hundredth time, the world does not revolve around the aggrieved apostate American church. There are other paintings in the world, like the French one depicting the Greek god Dionysus. Perhaps churchgoers are not aware, but the Dionysus was one of the original Olympians, you know, where the Olympics come from? Oh, and what country was hosting this year? Oh yeah, France. It is embarrassing that we continue to be led around by the nose by people who are clearly manipulating us and making us out to be the stupid ones. Stop being the stupid ones. The "global outrage" was fabricated. It was sold to people by leaders who wanted to leverage it, as Charisma News is doing now.
'From the Speaker of the House to billionaire Elon Musk to evangelist Franklin Graham, condemnation was swift and severe. Graham warned, "Even more than being disrespectful to Christians, I would be concerned about being disrespectful to God. His Word tells us, 'Be not deceived, God is not mocked' (Galatians 6:7). Whether you're Catholic, Orthodox, Anglican, or Protestant, it is offensive." SpaceX, Tesla and X owner Musk called it "extremely disrespectful to Christians." House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) posted, "Last night's mockery of the Last Supper was shocking and insulting to Christian people around the world who watched the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games. The war on our faith and traditional values knows no bounds today. But we know that truth and virtue will always prevail. 'The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.' (John 1:5)."' - CBN News
