But the prophet who presumes to speak a word in my name that I have not commanded him to speak, or who speaks in the name of other gods, that same prophet shall die.' And if you say in your heart, 'How may we know the word that the Lord has not spoken?'" when a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, if the word does not come to pass or come true, that is a word that the Lord has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously. You need not be afraid of him. - Deuteronomy 18:20-22 (ESV)

Dr. Michael Brown just cannot help himself. As the primary gatekeeper of every false teacher in the NAR and Charismania, you knew it was only a matter of time before Brown weighed in on the recent surge in the false prophet brigade pretending that their false prophecies from 2020 are now actually fulfilled, regarding the election of Donald Trump. Remember, Brown must protect the brand at all costs, while sounding reasonable. His job here is to throw as much doubt and "possibility" against the wall as he can and to pretend that he was being critical, while still lending credibility to these charlatans. Oh, and of course, to name no one. The cesspool known as Charisma News has been busy busy busy since the election doing their victory lap, pretending God answered prayers by ensuring the election for the convicted rapist and allowing a platform for these exposed hucksters to pretend that maybe they just misheard God in 2020. You know, because God whispers sometimes or is somehow unclear. So, Brown's boss, uber-dominionist and faux-Christian leader, Steven Strang, commissioned Brown to write an article to start the rehabilitation process for these fraudsters. That article is linked above, so let us reason once more together beloved.

"It was all the rage back in 2020. A chorus of prophetic leaders announced with certainty that Donald Trump would be reelected and serve a second term in the White House, but he did not"at least, not in 2020. Now that he has been reelected, resoundingly at that, does this mean that these prophets were right after all? Certainly not. First, some of the "prophets" (I will let God decide their actual status and calling) said that Trump would serve eight consecutive years. They were dogmatic and clear and aggressive, even after the 2020 election results were announced. "Watch and see" they proclaimed, but nothing happened. Second, after Biden's victory was announced, the prophets predicting his reelection doubled down. Many said that he did win the election, but it was stolen. But that begs the question: If Trump would win but actually lose, why didn't God show them this too? This would be like me giving you a prophetic word that a rich man would be giving you a Porsche next week, free of charge. I just failed to tell you it would be carjacked on the way to your house, and you would never see it." - Dr. Michael Brown

Welcome to the "reasonable" portion of the article. Designed to be able to say that he did not give a full endorsement of these wolves by opening with the fact that they were clearly wrong. He even partly disparages them by almost mocking the fact that they call themselves prophets but what is insidious here is the notion that he is letting God decide their actual status of being a prophet or not. So, what's the problem? God has already decided their status! Read your bible Dr. Brown! If someone claims to be a prophet but speaks a word that does not come to pass, they shall die, and we need not be afraid of them. Read the key verses. Now, we no longer stone such people to death thankfully because we leave room for God's wrath but there has been no change in the policy God laid forth for people claiming to speak for the creator of the entire universe. How do we gauge or judge? Did the word come to pass. So, God has already decided and let us know that these snake oil salesmen are false and are not prophets. Remember though that Brown's marching orders from Strang were to prop them up while more unreasonable sounding liars will then stake out more absurd positions. Strang did this in the run up to the election too. He had Brown come out early and declare that there was no way a Christian should vote for a Democrat. He sounded all pious and nice-nice, as is his schtick. Then Strang came on top of that with lunatics like Jack Hibbs, Mario Murillo and Greg Locke to declare that anyone who did vote Democratic or was not going to vote was going to hell. This bad cop-insane cop routine is common for Strang and Charisma. Note here that Brown is already downplaying what he knows was scurrilous false prophecies by saying that they only said Trump would serve a second term and then the "at least not in 2020" caveat. No Dr. Brown. This gaggle of despicable false prophets did not prophesy he would serve a second term. They prophesied that he was going to win the 2020 election, and he didn't. In fact, he got crushed by seven million votes. It reminds me of when false prophet David Taylor claimed God told him the Denver Broncos were going to win the Super Bowl and then they lost 44-8. Brown's assertions here about how they were wrong, however, is correct. They were unbelievably wrong. They were not even close. It is wrapped up however in this uncertainty that Brown is trying to sell. He continues:

"Others doubled down by saying, "In the coming weeks, the results will be overturned and Trump will be declared winner," with some prophesying specific timetables in which this would take place. None of this happened"not in a single instance or court case"despite their guarantees. Others claimed there would be a coup and Biden would be removed from office. It would happen right after the inauguration. Or in March. Or April. Or August. Still others claimed Biden was not inaugurated, that there was an actor (or shapeshifter) taking his place and that Trump was the true president in God's sight. Seriously! Still others moved into other realms of spiritual fantasy, as characterized by this "vision" allegedly received in April 2021: "As I was praying today I saw a vision of DJT seated on a throne holding a golden scepter. He also had a golden crown on his head. This, I was shown, is his PRESENT status from heaven's perspective. That becomes all I need to know, as to should I back off saying 'the steal will not hold'. Heaven does not recognize JB having any scepter nor wearing any crown. From heaven's perspective, there is only the legitimacy of DJT. God has assigned a massive contingency of angels to that scepter and to that crown. They have not ceased assignment and anointed seers can see this. To repeat, the prophetic word has been true all the way from Nov 3. On that date, DJT won the election "as spoken by His servants the prophets". IT WAS FULFILLED. The only thing presently yet to be made visible is will an outrageous steal hold for a whole term. It will not! The answer from God to the question of when is"SOON. Do I have a date on that SOON? No, I don't." Enough said." - Dr. Michael Brown

No, Dr. Brown. It is not enough said and that is always the problem. The glaring omission here is who exactly said this ridiculous lie that he had a vision of Trump holding a scepter and wearing a crown? Thankfully, Mr. Google remembers, and the man is named Johnny Enlow, who apparently is a NAR dominionist extraordinaire. His bio states that he is the author of various books including, The Seven Mountain Prophecy and The Seven Mountain Mantle. So, if Brown wants to call out such a ridiculous false prophecy, why is he not willing to warn the sheep who exactly this wolf was? Because Dr. Brown only wants to be able to pretend that he is calling out error in "his own camp," as he is fond of saying. This was just like after writing an entire book about the errors of greasy grace and Dr. Brown called Jospeh Prince, the Jedi Knight of greasy grace, a "good brother in the Lord." Keep your book Doc. It is useless if you refuse to apply it to protect the sheep instead of the wolves. He does not apparently have a shred of humility in that the very people he defends on a regular basis claimed that a shapeshifter was actually inaugurated president in 2020. Think about that for a second. Sure, he says the insanity here but refuses to say who exactly said it. One of Brown's students, Daniel Kolenda did a video the day after the 2024 election wondering if the "critics" from 2020 would apologize now that the false prophets have been vindicated. Crickets from Dr. Brown. Instead, he provides cover for the Johnny Enlows of the world and let us not gloss over what this rabid wolf claimed in 2020. Remember he is claiming God gave him this vision. He is speaking on behalf of the Great I Am, claiming God said that angels have been dispatched, that Trump actually won when he did not, and that the convicted rapist was given a crown, and a scepter by almighty God. That is offensive on so many levels and blasphemous. Simply regurgitating this insanity is useless if you are not willing to call out the insane.

"You might say, "But what if God did show these prophets that Trump would be reelected, but they just misinterpreted what they saw?" That's a valid question, and it's in keeping with biblical prophecy, in which the prophets did not always understand the timing of the revelations they received. As Peter wrote, Concerning this salvation, the prophets, who spoke of the grace that was to come to you, searched intently and with the greatest care, trying to find out the time and circumstances to which the Spirit of Christ in them was pointing when he predicted the sufferings of the Messiah and the glories that would follow. It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves but you, when they spoke of the things that have now been told you by those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. Even angels long to look into these things (1 Pet. 1:10-13, NIV). That's why we have no business setting dates and putting time frames on prophetic words we claim to receive unless God Himself gives us those dates." - Dr. Michael Brown
