Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone. To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. For to one is given through the Spirit the utterance of wisdom, and to another the utterance of knowledge according to the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit, to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another the ability to distinguish between spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. All these are empowered by one and the same Spirit, who apportions to each one individually as he wills. - 1Corinthians 12:4-11 (ESV)
There is a fantastic bible verse that refers to false teachers as hucksters. Peddlers of God's word. People just looking to make a buck. The apostate church is rife with them. Sure there are some who may mean well and are deceived themselves but then there are others who you just know that they know. Benny Hinn knows that God is not knocking down rows of people because Benny waved his suit coat at them. Paula White knows that God did not tell her that 1Chronlicles 22:9 means that everyone should send her $229. Jennifer Leclaire knows she never saw a sneaky squid spirit sitting on her friend's head. Yes, that's a real thing. Jennifer is as false a false prophet as there is today. She operates multiple ministries and schools out of a hotel room in the Fort Lauderdale Airport Holiday Inn. She used to be the editor for Charisma News, where she earned her Charismaniacal bonafides. She has pretended to release an army of "angels of abundant harvest" coincidentally to be timed with the release of her book on the subject. She claims that she once saw a "sneaky squid spirit" sitting on her friend's head that started to stalk her. Good thing she teaches that course on drowning marine demons, yes I am serious. Apparently today Jennifer felt compelled to write a grievance article about, wait for it, false prophets! Yes the Calamari Queen is going to lecture people who she has deemed false. This should be painfully fun. Let us reason once more together
'Dear Wolves in Sheep's Clothing, A growing number of people in the body of Christ see you. The Holy Spirit is opening our eyes to your prophetic witchcraft and the motive behind it. We have our eyes on you, and we won't fall for your slick brand of deception anymore. You may have fooled us time and time again, but you will not fool us one more time. Jesus not only warned us that you are ferocious wolves in disguise, He also warned us of your tactics. We know that you don't enter the sheepfold by the door. You aren't welcomed in so you find some other way to steal, kill and destroy (see John 10:10). You use manipulation and flattery. You use the hurts, wounds, desires, insecurities and other issues of the soul against us. You use our spiritual hunger and even our lack of discipline against us. Jesus put it this way in John 10:1, "Truly, truly I say to you, he who does not enter by the door into the sheepfold, but climbs up some other way, is a thief and a robber."' - Jennifer Leclaire
I want to start by acknowledging that this is the first time Jennifer has correctly used John 10:10, a verse so many get wrong in applying to the devil as opposed to false teachers. She is right also that wolves do not use the door. Jesus is the door into the sheepfold. That means His word and the first mark of the false teacher is that they are wrong when it comes to the word of God. the sad thing here is I cannot tell if Jennifer is secretly confessing to herself because the irony is so thick. Wolves certainly use spiritual hunger and lack of discipline to deceive so many. Jennifer knows what she is talking about here:
"You may have read my best-selling books, such as The Making of a Prophet, The Heart of the Prophetic, Jezebel's Puppets, or Waging Prophetic Warfare. You might also know me as the former editor of Charisma magazine, or maybe you've met me on my ministry tours. My School of the Prophetic aims to help every believer tap into their prophetic potential, flow accurately in their prophetic expression, and advance in their prophetic calling. I want to do prophetic life with you! This is not just for prophets, but for those who want training, activation, affirmation and impartation in prophetic ministry." - Jennifer Leclaire Website
This is the advertisement from Jennifer's own website regarding her "School of the Prophetic." She promises so much more though. She promises through this course you will learn how to cultivate and accurate prophetic voice, as well as how to battle demons! But wait! There's more! You will learn about the "statesmanship of the prophet"; whatever that is and all for a measly $200 per year! This is exactly what the Calamari Queen is warning us about. The huckster uses people's desire to be more spiritual as well as their lack of overall discernment against them. She appeals to their pride as well. You too can be a prophet! Except the bible says that Jennifer is a charlatan if we examine the key verses, which explains the gifts of the spirit. We need to glean two lessons here. First of all, not everyone gets all the gifts. Thus you cannot possibly teach this gift from God. Secondly, only the spirit gives these gifts as He wills, not Jennifer Leclaire.
