So, what does the end result of politics infecting the church look like? We can all see the glaring hypocrisies that have led to 40 million people leaving the church in the past 25 years but the truly insidious affect is the mainlining of hate within the alleged Christian community. We saw glimpses of this during the Olympics with absolute lies being told to get the church to be outraged and hate the lost. Those were just trial balloons compared to the recent absurd lie told about Haitian LEGAL immigrants in Springfield Ohio. Keep in mind that these LEGAL immigrants are mostly Christian. Yet that did not stop the candidates for President and Vice President of the Republican Party from outrageously lying that they were eating the pets of good old fashioned white folks. I know many of us in the church laughed it off but this has resulted in 40 bomb threats. Children are afraid to go to school because they will be targeted based on race. I expect such behavior from completely morally bankrupt politicians but their lies can only go as far as they are reposted and retweeted. Posting YouTube videos of random people, you never met is not "research." The city in question is run by a Republican mayor. The governor is also Republican. Every claim was investigated and disproven. One such complainant had to apologize to her neighbor when her cat turned out to be in her basement. Even the woman who first posted this lie regrets it as there never was a shred of proof. Yet there we go, seeing the church spread the hate-filled, racist lies. Make no mistake about it - they are lies and you are spreading them. They hurt people, many of which are supposed to be your brothers and sisters in Christ. For what? What 30 pieces of silver have you been promised? What does the end result look like? It looks like a bigoted, piece of trash Congressman, formerly given an award by the fake Christian organization, Faith and Freedom Coalition, posting this:

They are not "vudu" you racist jackass. Learn how to spell while you are at it. Beloved, are you following the results of your posts yet? Now an entire country is vilified as the nastiest country in the western hemisphere? Seriously? For the 100th time, it is not remotely Christian and certainly not American to tell people legally in this country to get their a** out. I might add they were encouraged to move to Springfield because the economy was failing in 2018, yes that was when Mr. Trump was president. They are part of that community. They have jobs, send their kids to school, and are congregants in local churches. All of the officials and their neighbors have denounced the lies being spread by evil politicians and eagerly reposted by duped Christians. They are not gangsters or cult members. Now, before those who reflexively defend such vile garbage pretend that Higgins just made an oopsie because he deleted the post, here was his direct quote after:

How terribly Christian. That is how this fake Christian thinks of other human beings that he has directly harmed. I say fake Christian not only because of the award from Faith and Freedom, but because Higgins claims he decided to take down the disgusting post after "prayer." Really? What exactly did you need to pray about? You think there is a world where God, who created Haitians as well as American Republicans, wants you to spread lies about people eating pets? Is there a world where God, who sent His only Son to die for those Haitians, as well as American Republicans, considers them something to be scraped off the bottom of your boot? You had to pray about it?
Beloved, you should not be found within a country mile of people like Clay Higgins, the fake Faith and Freedom Coalition, or despicable NAR dominionist lies that smear an entire group of people based upon their race, ethnicity, or anything else for that matter. The key verses cannot be clearer. We are to speak evil of no one! We are to avoid quarreling! We are supposed to be gentle, not racist! Why? Because we were once foolish, astray and slaves, wallowing in our malice and envy, hated by others and hating one another! Except that is exactly how we still behave when we repost hate. The bible says we ought to check ourselves and this might be the right time. Make no mistake about it. This incident is only possible when we join in with the devil to do his work. Stop posting lies! These are real people whose lives you are helping to destroy.
