No thanks. The word religion was instituted by God in the Bible so I think I will rely upon that. My relationship with my God is not some amorphous, shifting pile of love slop that is based upon my personal feelings of what I am experiencing. It is based on a box that cannot be broken. It does not change. It will be here long after I have been called home to worship my Lord at His feet. He is the vine beloved. We are merely branches that cannot survive without Him. If that is your relationship with Him I will celebrate right next to you. That was not what Joyce Meyer was teaching though and it is not what is taught in the majority of churches each Sunday. They are teaching carnal relationships that are not taught in Scripture. Give me the box. Give it to me seven days per week. At least I know I can rely upon it. At least I know it can change who I am. Give me some truth beloved and keep me away from my wickedly deceitful little heart and the relationships it craves.
