Any Gospel message that does not convey how we are made right again in the sight of God through the work of Jesus Christ on the cross because of our sin -- is not a Gospel message at all. Watch out! We are living in the end times and we have been desperately warned throughout Scripture if we who have ears would only listen:
But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God-- having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them. -- 2Timothy 3: 1-5 (NIV)
This is Paul warning his protà ©gà © Timothy, who he knew would lead churches. Paul was screaming for him to watch out! There are far too many forms of godliness in the modern church without the true power of God. Latest fads and doctrines of devils leading the people of God astray. Clever lies that sound so much like the truth. In the Garden of Eden the devil seduced Eve with such clever lies. Throughout Scripture we see the enemy continued to seduce God-fearing people with such clever lies. Beloved - do not be seduced by every new Christian fad that finds itself on the best sellers list. Weigh everything like the Bereans did - against the Word of God. If it sounds nice but your Spirit is up - listen to your Spirit. The broad path that leads to destruction is broad for a reason - there are a lot of people on it.
