"As founder of Charisma magazine, I have witnessed firsthand how prayer and spiritual resilience can shape the course of a nation. As we stand at the edge of Trump's second term, the question arises: What promises does this new chapter hold for America and the world? After years of economic uncertainty, social upheaval and international crises, our people are ready for a leader who embodies strength and determination. There is a sense of optimism sweeping the nation these past few weeks. Entrepreneurs are forecasting growth, families are envisioning brighter futures and faith communities are rallying around what they see as a shared vision for renewal. This optimism is not unfounded. During his first term, Trump's administration achieved historic tax reforms, deregulated key industries and spurred unprecedented job creation. We have every reason to believe that these accomplishments will continue"and even expand"over the next four years, even if the first few months might be a bit bumpy." - Steven Strang

Strang pretends to be a Christian leader, not a political one. Do you honestly think for one second that God cares one whit about our tax policy? That He would be celebrating the Trump tax cuts that saw the vast majority of money go to the top 1% of the country? The impoverishing of the poor? Read Amos and see how God viewed the mistreatment of the poor. Deregulation? You think God prefers sacrificing His creation so that corporate profits increase? Unprecedented job creation? The Trump administration saw a decrease to the tune of 2.7 million jobs. Unemployment increased by 1.7%. People lacking health insurance increased by three million people. Was it all bad? Of course not but stop gaslighting people in the name of Jesus. Faith communities are not rallying - the apostate church is. The economic uncertainly grew out of the Trump administration and the horrific handling of COVID. Social upheaval and international crisis? How are we going to turn that around? By invading Panama or trying to buy Greenland? By mocking Canada? Look, we can like whatever politician we want because of the great freedoms our country affords but stop Jesus-fying your politics. That is again by definition idolatry.

"Beyond economic recovery, Trump's second term promises a deeper, more profound opportunity. The cultural battles that have defined the last decade have left many Americans disillusioned and divided. Yet as Christians, we understand that such trials often precede revival. Could this be the moment when America turns back to God? The Trump administration has already demonstrated a commitment to protecting religious freedom, supporting pro-life policies and appointing constitutionalist judges. This vision of hope is not limited to domestic policies. Around the world, millions are watching America, a city on a hill, as a beacon of liberty and faith. With Trump at the helm, there is potential to reaffirm our nation's role as a leader in advocating for religious freedom and human dignity globally. Whether combating persecution of Christians in hostile regions or defending the rights of the unborn at international forums, America's moral leadership is poised for a comeback." - Steven Strang

Could this be the moment that America turns back to God? I know the answer to that one! No. The great apostasy mentioned in scripture means a falling away, not a revival. When your evangelism plan starts with declaring anyone with a different political opinion is going to hell, but you are going to heaven, why would anyone turn to you? If they see how easily you lie about carnal politics, why would they ever want to hear what you have to say about Jesus? America's moral leadership is poised for a comeback? How? By electing a man with 34 felony convictions? A man already convicted of rape? A man who cheated on his first wife with his second wife and his third wife with a porn star? A man who has already said he does not think he needs to ask God for forgiveness? Six bankruptcies? Stealing nuclear secrets and hiding them in his bathroom? Look, make the argument politically. Say you think his policy prescriptions are best or his plans were better for the country. Just stop pretending that standing behind such a man is a moral stance because it is not. Beloved, when Jesus Christ walked the earth, His people were under real oppression from the Roman Empire, yet He did nothing about those politics because His kingdom is not of this world. Just like He did not come to earth to deliver the Jews from Rome, He did not die so we could be delivered from our perceived political enemies. He came to deliver us from our sin and from the oppression of the enemy. The things which we use to compromise our faith and His gospel are the things we idolize. Any political party or leader is such idolatry. Not voting for them. We are free to vote for whom we wish or not vote at all. Those are carnal distinctions however, not spiritual. Steven Strang makes the same poor assumption that all church hucksters make. That their carnal success is because they are being blessed by God. They never stop to consider that what they sell their souls as blessing is actually judgment. They are like the sons of Sceva before them. Just this past year we saw the Mike Bickle, Robert Morris and Dr. Michael Brown scandals. Before that we saw Ravi Zacharias and people like Ted Haggard, to name but a few. These are all people platformed and promoted by Charisma News and Steven Strang. God keeps exposing and exposing. Yet Strang never makes the connection. Instead, we see articles trying to blame the devil. Like the sons of Sceva, Steven Strang walks around bloodied and naked, beaten and exposed by God, yet he correlates the fact that he has monetized his heresy as being blessed. He cannot see that he has demanded a king and God has relented. He will spend the next four years and beyond ascribing everything negative to the devil and all carnal success as blessing. He will spend the next four years demanding all who follow him must bow down to the idol he has erected for himself. Oh, in the name of Jesus of course, wink wink.

You know, the Jesus that Paul preaches.
