I want to make sure we follow this. Bolz scouted out the Facebook page of someone he knew would be attending a service at Bethel. I am sure he scouted many out but this one in particular had a girlfriend with the unusual name of Jubilee. He also sees in some post what restaurant Jubilee works at. Then at the meeting, he targets the guy, claiming God showed him the number fifty, which means jubilee, and hey does that mean anything to you? Knowing full well that it would immediately register as his girlfriend's name! This is designed to deceive the man into thinking God is speaking directly to Bolz about him and wow the crowd into thinking Bolz has a direct line to the throne room. So much of the NAR apostate church is based upon street cred by convincing "marks" that you are somehow prophetic or apostolic. That's the grift here and this guy, was Bolz's mark. It was not enough for Bolz to simply abuse the information, he had to declare that God was "giving him" the girl. So now this guy believes God Almighty has declared that Jubilee has been given to him. How utterly disgusting. He posts the video to his page and now the girlfriend also believes that the creator of the entire universe spoke through the prophet Bolz about their relationship. That is a heavy amount of pressure to place on people. Now, if she has any doubts, she is doubting God. Not only that, but after only two months and despite red flags, she got engaged. What Bolz did is spiritually criminal. Jubilee's story would tragically get worse:
Later, she alleges her husband turned out to be a physically abusive porn addict, calling her a "F-- B"-" a week after their wedding, pinning her down and spitting in her face, telling her she couldn't have dinner with her father anymore, strangling her on more than on occasion and almost killing her, resulting in her divorcing him for her safety. Jubilee says, "I stayed in this abusive marriage for years because I thought that this was God's will for my life; I thought that I needed to be with this man."
I stayed in this abusive marriage for years because I thought this was God's will for my life. To be spit on and strangled. To be cut off from her family. I thought I needed to be with this man despite him being a physically abusive porn addict. Who convinced her that this insanity was God's will for her life? Shawn Bolz. The grifter does not care what happens to the mark. That's the nature of grifting. That is the nature of Bill Johnson, Kris Vallotton, Shawn Bolz and Bethel Church. When Johnson teaches God must heal you and then you are not healed, what happens to your faith? There are always victims. When Kris Vallotton teaches you that you are poor because of a poverty mindset, what happens to your faith? There are always victims. When Shawn Bolz fakes a word of knowledge to convince you that God is declaring you need to be in an abusive relationship, what happens to the victim? What happens to your faith? Thankfully Jubilee managed to escape. Many would not. Many would die in that abusive relationship, wondering why this was God's will for them. There are always victims. When you support these hucksters, you support their teaching. You support them victimizing people. You support Bolz targeting his marks with reckless abandon, not caring if they are spat on, strangled or eventually killed. Oh, and the same goes for supporting their multi-million-dollar musical grifts, such as Bethel Music. Or Hillsong Music and Hillsong Church. Or Elevation music and Elevation church. These musical enterprises draw people to stand in a service and hear the likes of Shawn Bolz recite information he mined from their social media to potentially lure them into an abusive marriage that could kill them. I pray we remember Jubilee the next time we are considering supporting anything these vile hucksters are involved in. There are always victims beloved. Always.
