'In his testimony statement, Fauci said, "For at least two decades before the SARS-CoV-2 virus that caused the COVID-19 pandemic emerged, NIAID had invested billions of dollars in basic and clinical research that led to the development of mRNA platform technology and structure-based immunogen design that ultimately led to the development of safe and highly effective vaccines for COVID-19." Fauci also said he "knew nothing" about aide David Morens' actions of trying to hide official communication by using a private Gmail account to conduct business related to the origins of COVID. "Another unfounded accusation that has circulated is that I actively tried to minimize and 'cover up' the possibility that the SARS-CoV-2 virus originated from a laboratory," Fauci wrote in his statement. "Assertions have been made that my e-mails proved this supposed 'cover up.' In fact, those emails prove exactly the opposite, namely, that I was proactive in making sure that any possible 'laboratory leak' was actively investigated." Fauci further said, "Let me state for the record that to the best of my knowledge I have never conducted official business via my personal email."' - Charisma News
It is ironic that this paragraph actually reveals that the initial charge of admitting a lie is in and of itself, a lie. The reality is that even this skewed committee has been unable to establish that Dr. Fauci, who has a 43-year record of servicing the American people, including saving many lives during the HIV crisis, has done anything remotely wrong. It is criminal to the truth to continue to perpetuate the insane lies and conspiracy theories that politicians use to try and ruin someone who has dedicated their lives to trying to keep us safe. Do not fall for these pernicious lies beloved. COVID was a horrible time for everyone but pretending it was like the common cold is insulting to the dead. We should investigate to learn what worked best so we can have better reactions if God forbid there is a next time. To do that however does not start by accusing those who tried to help of lying because it serves your political masters. Consider the key verse from Proverbs. Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord. I know the world blurs the truth into shades of grey to feel better about making the truth malleable. I famously remember a Trump aide claiming she had "alternative facts." There are no such things beloved. You can listen to your Facebook experts all day long, but their lies become your lies and when you stand before Christ you will not even be able to make the argument. Self-deception is still deception. The ends do not justify the means. There is nothing faithful or honest about pretending COVID didn't happen or was overblown. The seven million dead mattered to God as well. We would do well to remember that before thinking we can pass off the lies we tell ourselves to the creator of the universe. I leave you with sobering verses from Job:
Hear now my argument and listen to the pleadings of my lips. Will you speak falsely for God and speak deceitfully for him? Will you show partiality toward him? Will you plead the case for God? Will it be well with you when he searches you out? Or can you deceive him, as one deceives a man? He will surely rebuke you if in secret you show partiality. Will not his majesty terrify you, and the dread of him fall upon you? Your maxims are proverbs of ashes; your defenses are defenses of clay. - Job 13:6-12 (ESV)
Will you deceive Him as one deceives man? Does not His majesty terrify you? Your sad and pitiful defenses are but defenses of clay. God help us all.
