Except that was not what he taught at all. What he taught is that we could stop women from complaining they were assaulted if we publicly execute some of them to serve as examples for women to keep their mouths shut if they are abused. Secondly, rape is not a capital offense in this country. Thirdly, there is a vast difference between being unable to prove the assault, which can be very difficult, and lying about it. More importantly, why are we not all disgusted to be even having this conversation? I pray that people who fancy themselves Christian wake up and see who they are lying next to. Stop pretending the words of Joel Webbon do not matter. They do if you insist on standing with him. Just like if you think you can turn a blind eye to the guy who called Puerto Rico a garbage dump or the one who referred to your political opponent as the antichrist. These things are not amusing, they are dangerous. They are unseemly. They are unchristian. The bible says we will be held to account for every careless word. Retweets and Facebook posts are words. Even if they are someone else's words, they become ours if we regurgitate them. If you think God cares so little for women, good luck with that. Vote or do not vote, God does not care. Just stop standing with racists and lunatics calling for the public execution of women who accuse men of assaulting them. Oh, in Jesus' name of course.
Enough.
