Just a quick word here about the strategy Dr. Michael Brown employs to sound reasonable when the overall body of his work is anything but. There is no doubt that Brown is a clear backer of Donald Trump and the Republican Party as a whole. How do we know this? Because he has said it over and over again since Trump rode down his golden escalator. Does Brown despise the ugly rhetoric that comes with Trump? It certainly appears to be based upon other things he has said. But he excuses them away in a Faustian bargain. If Trump is going to give Brown more Justices that he likes than he is willing to pretend that all of the baggage is somehow worth it and somehow "Christian." What Brown does however, is he makes enough posts and articles that hint toward reasonableness so that he can point to them when he is criticized. For example, today on his Facebook page:

This is entirely disingenuous. Dr. Brown is on record as saying that a Christian should never vote Democratic. EVER. Once you stake out that kind of insanely myopic position, it is worthless to pay lip service to sounding reasonable like this. This position is entirely accurate by the way. God is not on the side of any candidate or party, period full stop. As such, why then does Dr. Brown pretend that one side is the Christian choice? Why does he insist on working for someone like Steven Strang who has supported nonsense like Trump being the second coming of King Cyrus and King Jehu? Why does he associate with and support lunatics like Greg Locke, Mario Murillo and Jack Hibbs, who have all said that Christians who vote Democratic are actually going to hell. These types of posts for Brown are not uncommon as he is setting up a smoke screen that he will then point to whenever people legitimately call him out for the political whore that he is.
The key verse today is very clear. This type of duplicity is not biblical. For someone who markets himself as the voice of moral clarity, he certainly tries to be as unclear as possible sometimes and that is a calculated decision. Unless he is feeling convicted because he knows his blind support for someone so clearly evil, is not what a Christian leader should be doing. That is also a distinct possibility.
