I have written extensively about the last idol of the church age, which is NAR dominionism. This idolatry is rooted in the deification and worship of one man, Donald Trump. It distorts people's clear thinking and biblical discernment. Realize that this is not a political discussion. As Americans, we have the right to think who would be best to run the Titanic into the icy depths until Jesus comes. It is when you interject God into the equation, pretending that your perceived lesser evil is somehow righteous, that you leave sound doctrine in favor of heresy. The subject of the president is now 85% of articles being run on Charisma News. They offer only one perspective - complete adoration and idolatry. There is never a consideration that maybe something their idol is doing is wrong. Any criticism is met with swift retribution and unbiblical aggression. Yesterday, an Episcopal Bishop had the temerity to express to the new president that he should show mercy because people are scared. You would have thought that she assaulted him the way the CHURCH leapt to not only defend Trump but eviscerate the bishop. One Republican lawmaker mocked and said the bishop should be deported despite her being born in this country. Today, Trump complained that the bishop needs to apologize. Again, because she asked for mercy. That is what the church now supports. This is what a cult demands.
I say this as background to begin to understand what we have wrought spiritually. I have maintained for some time now that when the entire apostate church system is insisting something is 'blessing" there is a good chance it is judgment. That we all demanded a king and God relented and gave us Saul. A man who builds monuments in honor to himself, for the people to bow down to. I could spend the day talking about how the Trump administration has already deleted the Spanish version of the White House website and the Spanish Twitter account. Cause you know, Jesus hates brown people. This is what the church now stands for in this country because there will never be any dissent. There can never be any criticism allowed. On Inauguration Day, Mr. Trump forgot to lay his hand on the bible when taking his oath of office. Big deal? Absolutely not. He forgot, who cares. Because he can never do something wrong however, the machine quickly went into cover his butt mode and started floating absurd and unbiblical reasons why he chose to not place his hands on the bible. I saw a vacuously dumb Tik Tok video, that keeps getting reposted, that said it would have been a sin for Trump to do this because of Matthew 5:33, where Jesus is teaching to stand by your word instead of taking meaningless oaths. This was not however a condemnation of taking oaths in general and in Matthew 26, when Jesus stands before the Sanhedrin, He answers a question under oath. This level of silliness is the definition of being in a cult.
Not enough to just hate brown people? How about the executive order backing out of international agreements to try and stop destroying God's creation? You don't think that matters to the Lord? Not enough? How about that he rescinded an executive order that lowered prescription drug costs for people in Medicare and Medicaid? You know, the least in society. The literal widows and orphans God always is worried about in scripture. You can have the political opinion that none of this matters but you cannot pretend that God does not care about it. The people on Medicare and Medicaid are either elderly or disabled. In what bible do you think you see a God that does not care about them being denied medication because they cannot afford it and their food? Is this really the ground we wish to stake out in the name of the Lord? Do you think this advances the cause of the gospel? Dear Lord, what is wrong with us?
This is only day three. Perhaps there is no more egregious behavior than the blanket pardons of 1500 felons who committed violent atrocities against police officers on January 6, 2021. These were not "hostages." They were not "tourists." This was not caused by "outside agitators." These are all factually untrue and insulting to the memories of the four officers who have died as a result of this attack. I have watched vile and disgusting people who cosplay as pastors bragging and rejoicing at these pardons. As if the law no longer matters. It is intellectually vacuous to just say everything you are unhappy about must be 'weaponization." These people had their day in court and were either convicted or agreed to their guilt and punishment. None of that matters to MAGA pastors selling this idolatry. By the way, if there were people who were just caught up in the wrong place at the wrong time, they had already had their cases dismissed. There were over 400 of such. These pardoned people stormed the Capitol and violently assaulted law enforcement and now the church stands with them. Here is just a few of these folks that the church is in bed with:
1. One man on that day was wearing a "Camp Auschwitz - work brings freedom" tee shirt. Because nothing says Jesus Christ like glorifying the worst nazi concentration camp in history.
2. The infamous QAnon Shaman tweeted thanks to Trump and said, "now I am gonna buy some Motha Fu*kin Guns."
