Now out of the ground the Lord God had formed every beast of the field and every bird of the heavens and brought them to the man to see what he would call them. And whatever the man called every living creature, that was its name. The man gave names to all livestock and to the birds of the heavens and to every beast of the field. But for Adam there was not found a helper fit for him. -- Genesis 2: 19-20 (ESV)

It is nice to do an old fashioned sermon review from time to time. They take a lot more work, mostly because of the need to transcribe, but it is worth it to hold the Bible up to what is being preached today so that we might learn to discern better and stay clear of those who are false. The Bible says to mark them. That means once we know someone is false we steer clear of them. I have heard the misguided teaching of eating the meat and spitting out the bones but the problem with that is one day you might choke on the bone you thought was meat. The true task of discernment is not telling right from wrong but right from almost right. Truly deceptive wolves are hard to discern because like the devil, they mix just enough truth in to lure you but the deception still kills you. Every now and again however you come across a train wreck of a sermon. Something that is literally false from the beginning to the end. So we come to the link above to a sermon given just this week by Kris Vallotton from Bethel Church. This was actually given at a business convention in the Netherlands reminding us that Bethel is an international poison. I thank God that they only uploaded 8 minutes of this abomination onto YouTube because I could barely get through that. There is plenty of context within these eight minutes beloved. There is no global context in which this teaching could be redeemed. Let us reason together as we review this and please keep in mind that thousands upon thousands of people follow places like Bethel and wolves like Vallotton. Like when Jesus looked upon the multitudes we ought to have compassion for the sheep being led to slaughter. For they are like sheep without a shepherd beloved. Be especially mindful that Bethel preys not only on the weak but on the young. They are like IHOP in that they target youth to indoctrinate them to the absurd and unbiblical heresies you are about to hear. I strongly suggest you are sitting down.

"You're running around like, "I don't know why bad things keep happening to me -- you're not sitting in your proper seat. You've relegated your seat to someone else. When we pray for healing and bad circumstances we are praying in reaction to something that went wrong. But how many understand that when we are living from heaven towards earth"Jesus said to the Apostle John -- come up here and I will show you what must take place after these things. How many know if you live from your heavenly seat, your heavenly seat gives you an eternal perspective so that you see things not as they are but as they should be. Then your prayers become prophecies and your words become worlds. So no longer am I always in reaction to what has already happened but now I am living in response to God's word and I begin to procreate with God. And instead of always being like "hey this person's sick/hey this bad circumstance has happened" -- God goes, "hey this is how I want the next 50 years to go and I begin to pray and prophesy into that and I am not just praying to God but actually praying with God. I'm actually procreating with God. I become an heir -- a co-reigner with God." -- Kris Vallotton

Beloved, what you see unfolding before you is the oldest sin. It is the sin of Lucifer wanting to ascend to the throne of the Most High. It is the same sin Lucifer used on Eve in the Garden telling her if she ate of the fruit her eyes would be open and she would be like God. It is essentially the sin of the world today who in refusing to accept God must admit it is because they prefer to be God. Words have meaning. When you teach someone that they can live from heaven towards earth, what is the underlying message? You are God. When you teach people they can live from a heavenly seat what is your underlying message You are God. Forget those silly things that are! You're living in reaction! This from the man who when introduced said he had undergone cataract surgery the day before. Guess Kris forgot to sit in his heavenly seat that day and see the cataract healed. In the midst of all of this mystical and spiritual sounding gobbledygook let us not lose sight of these amazingly bad and heretical statements:

Then your prayers become prophecies and your words become worlds.

I begin to procreate with God.

I am actually praying with God. I am procreating with God.

I become a co-reigner with God

I will ascend to the throne of the Most High Lucifer said. Let me say here that I went back and listened multiple times and even though "co-create" is probably what he was trying to say, it sounded like procreate. Either way it is a vile teaching to suggest to people trying to follow Christ that they can usurp His power and glory. Beloved, Jesus Christ is Lord - not your co-equal on any level, let alone co-reigner. The arrogance of Kris Vallotton is staggering. Understand what he is saying when he says that your prayers become prophecies. The word prophecy means something that comes from God. Thus if your prayers are now prophecies - you are God. You are in fact not praying to Him as much as dictating to Him. Our words become worlds? Seriously Kris? How delusional do you have to be to think that you have the power to create entire worlds?

"How many know God cannot lie. He can't lie for two reasons. First is because he is pure and holy and thus it is not in His nature. Secondly though is that if what God said was ever untrue when He said it, it is true after He said it because God always creates when He speaks. When we are called to be ministers for God one of the ways we do that is we create by speaking for God. Earnestly desire the spiritual gifts but especially that you prophesy. Why especially prophecy and why does the devil hate it when we prophesy? Because you are co-creating with God. When Adam named the animals he was prophetically declaring their DNA. When I he said "lion" the characteristics of the lion were now on that creature. Adam wasn't just naming the animals -- he was defining them. I am simply saying that part of what we get to do with God is we get to sit with Him, listen to what God thinks about something that isn't and call it as if it were." -- Kris Vallotton

This is what happens when you are so busy trying to sound mystically profound that you forget to be logically coherent. Following his lunatic thought process here if God says something that is untrue, the second He says it must be true because He always creates when He speaks. Even if we were to lend a shred of credibility to this nonsense He still would have lied when he uttered it! You do not need to get mystical to explain this! The initial statement would have sufficed. He is holy. Or you could just quote Scripture:

God is not man, that he should lie, or a son of man, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it? - Numbers 23: 19 (ESV)

As ministers we are to preach the Gospel and as long as we are speaking the Word of God then we are speaking what God has said. Not that we speak for God, a sin Kris routinely commits. Prophecy is not co-creating with God beloved. It is speaking what God has told you. The prophet is a servant. They are a vessel God has chosen to speak to His people through. The devil loves it when people like Kris Vallotton pretend to prophesy because he knows they are not hearing from God. If they were - God would rebuke them for usurping His power and glory!

Just when I thought this sermon could not get any more demonic we come to Adam creating the very DNA of the animals of the earth. If someone had told me he said this I don't think I would have believed him. The scriptures in question are the key verses today - all two of them. It does not say whatever Adam called them so was their DNA. It says so was their name. What can we rightfully exegete from these verses and the surrounding context? That God let Adam name the animals. That is it. He was not defining them. Think about the insulting inference Vallotton is making here. God created the empty bodies and left the DNA, characteristics and real creation up to Adam. This is an insidious and evil teaching beloved. It does not come from anything remotely biblical and could only have come from the depths of the wickedly deceitful heart of Kris Vallotton. Unfortunately he was not done:
