As long as Mark Driscoll keeps talking, I will keep reminding believers that he is an exile from Christian discipline, as he packed his family up in the middle of the night to run away from the discipline his board in Seattle had planned for him the next day. How bad do you have to be to be kicked out of the Christian organization, Acts 29, that YOU founded? Driscoll is beyond disgraced. He spent over a decade belittling people, bullying people, and preaching falsely. He stole $200,000 from tithes in order to pay a marketing firm to cheat the NY Times Best Seller List, so he could make more money by pretending he was a NY Times Top Ten Author. After running away and abandoning his church in Seattle he settled in Arizona fleecing a new flock and now he is trying to get back into the mainstream of the apostate church system. He wrote a book recently declaring that he knows who Jesus Christ would vote for and he has embarked on a blitz through this election season twisting the bible to support his carnal nonsense. He has now surpassed his own levels of depravity though in the above linked article, which asks a question we all should know the answer to. Is Donald Trump a Christian? Spoiler alert - the answer is no. Nonetheless, Driscoll will try to make the case, so let us reason once more together beloved.
"In a recently posted video, Pastor Mark Driscoll addresses a question on the minds of many Christians: Is Donald Trump truly a Christian? Driscoll shares his thoughts on Trump's faith, offering insights from his recent experience at the National Faith Advisory Board event. In the video, Driscoll also encourages Christians to prioritize policy over personality in the upcoming election, emphasizing the importance of aligning voting decisions with biblical values. "It was largely pastors and ministry leaders," Driscoll says, recounting a schedule filled with "a lot of worship and a lot of prayer" at the event. He and his wife, Grace, believe it may have been "the last pastor's Faith event before the election." According to Driscoll, the timing adds weight to the day, as many leaders anticipate the upcoming election and discuss issues they see as vital to their communities." - Charisma News
The only reason why this question would be on the minds of Christians is because of the lies of Charisma News and people like Mark Driscoll. The reason why Driscoll makes the policy over personality point is because he knows full well that the character of Trump reveals that he is decidedly unchristian. He recognizes that if people take a serious look at the man, they might realize they cannot in good conscience vote for him. So, the Faustian bargain he is demanding Christians make is to not care who they are actually voting for. What he truly stands for. What he actually has said and done to people. Instead, focus on what he promises as a politician, which in all likelihood he will never follow through on. So, which biblical values is Driscoll aligning with in voting for Donald Trump? Is being a convicted rapist a biblical value? Is not paying your debts and declaring bankruptcy six times a biblical value? What about lying reflexively and ruining people's lives by saying they are eating pets in Ohio? Are the 34 other felony convictions a biblical value? Realize that all Driscoll is doing is to try and Christianize a very unchristian vote.
"Driscoll also describes meeting former President Donald Trump, who, despite constant attacks from the mainstream media, appears "really relaxed" and "joyful." Trump engages the crowd with unscripted remarks, which Driscoll says reveals a personable side. "He was just talking to us freely," Driscoll recalls, noting how Trump's humor and energy struck a chord with the gathered audience. "He was sharp and likable," Driscoll adds, surprised by the warmth Trump displayed. In Trump's address to attendees, he touches on several issues important to many conservative Christians, such as support for Israel, religious freedom and abortion. Driscoll says Trump's experiences, including two assassination attempts, have made him more conscious of faith and God's role in his life. "He doesn't use the evangelical language, but there's a God-consciousness in his mind," Driscoll explains, referencing Trump's belief that "there is a God who is over our affairs." - Charisma News
It must have been awesome to meet the man you have turned into an idol. He doesn't use Evangelical language because he is not Evangelical. By the way, it is not being attacked for the media to ask about things you have actually said! Enough of the self-victimization! The vague reference to Trump having a God-consciousness is silly. All one has to do is watch his behavior and listen to what he says. After the shooting in Pennsylvania, all we heard from the NAR was about how had an epiphany and we were going to hear a message of unity at the Convention. That lasted three minutes before he launched into 90 more minutes of hate, grievance, and decidedly unchristian rhetoric. So, spare us the "God-consciousness" garbage. The God that is over our affairs is also the God who Trump is on record as saying he does not need to ask forgiveness from. So, it doesn't matter if someone who worships Trump reports that he is joyful, relaxed, sharp or likable. All we have to do is pay attention to what he says and does. How he treats people. How he uses people, just like he treats Driscoll as the useful idiot that he is.
'Driscoll goes on to emphasize the importance of policy over personality in voting. "Policy is primary," he says, encouraging pastors to guide their congregations in understanding a biblical worldview. Driscoll sees these policies as having a direct impact on people's lives, explaining, "If you care about people, you need to vote for policies because people live under the policies."' - Charisma News
